أصدر المركز الوطني الصيني للأرصاد الجوية اليوم إنذاراً باللون الأحمر لمواجهة العواصف المطرية، وهو أعلى مستوى في نظام التحذير المكون من أربع درجات، تزامناً مع توقعات بوصول الإعصار «بافي» إلى اليابسة على الساحل الشرقي للصين فجر غد. وذكر المركز أن أمطاراً غزيرة إلى شديدة الغزارة ستتساقط خلال الساعات الـ24 القادمة على عدد من المناطق، تشمل مقاطعات تشجيانغ وفوجيان وجيانغشي وآنهوي وخبي، إضافةً إلى العاصمة بكين. وأشار المركز الوطني إلى أن كميات الأمطار ستتراوح بين 250 و 500 ملم في أجزاء من تشجيانغ وفوجيان، وأن تصل إلى800 ملم في بعض مناطق جزيرة تايوان.
The China National Meteorological Center issued a red alert today for heavy rainstorms, the highest level in the four-tier warning system, coinciding with forecasts of Typhoon "Bavi" making landfall on the eastern coast of China early tomorrow. The center reported that heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected to occur over the next 24 hours in several regions, including the provinces of Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Anhui, and Hebei, as well as the capital, Beijing. The National Center indicated that rainfall amounts will range from 250 to 500 mm in parts of Zhejiang and Fujian, and could reach up to 800 mm in some areas of Taiwan.
