اتهمت الحكومة اليمنية الشرعية مليشيا الحوثي بإجهاض جهود عملية إتمام صفقة تبادل المحتجزين والمختطفين، والتي كان من المقرر إتمامها غدا (السبت)، عبر اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر، بموجب اتفاقية التبادل الموقعة بين الحكومة والمليشيات برعاية أممية.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء اليمنية الرسمية عن رئيس الفريق الحكومي المفاوض بملف المختطفين والأسرى هادي هيج، اليوم (الجمعة) قوله: إن الفريق تلقى بلاغا من اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر ومكتب المبعوث الأممي الخاص إلى اليمن، برفض مليشيات الحوثي تنفيذ الصفقة في موعدها المحدد وتأجيلها الى وقت غير محدد.
وأعلن هيج أن هذا الإخطار جاء بعد أن استكمل الفريق الحكومي كل الإجراءات لتنفيذ صفقة التبادل وإطلاق المختطفين والمحتجزين رغم العراقيل التي وضعتها المليشيات لإجهاض إتمام الصفقة.
وحمل رئيس الفريق الحكومي المفاوض، مليشيات الحوثي مسؤولية عدم إتمام صفقة التبادل في موعدها المحدد، وصلفها في إجهاض أي جهود للتخفيف من معاناة اليمنيين والمحتجزين والمختطفين وأهاليهم.
وشدد على أن هذا الإجراء يؤكد استمرار المليشيات في استغلال ملف المحتجزين والمختطفين الإنساني، للابتزاز السياسي والعسكري والاقتصادي، وعدم اكتراثها بمعاناة اليمنيين.
وكان من المقرر أن تسفر صفقة التبادل الموقعة برعاية الأمم المتحدة عن الإفراج عن 1,680 من الأسرى والمختطفين، بينهم 1,100 من تابعي جماعة الحوثي، و580 يتبعون الحكومة اليمنية والتحالف، 11 يوليو الجاري، برحلة أولى متبادلة بين عدن وصنعاء، تليها في اليوم الثاني رحلة ثانية بين صنعاء والساحل الغربي، فيما ستكون رحلة اليوم الثالث والأخير بين مأرب وصنعاء.
The legitimate Yemeni government accused the Houthi militia of aborting efforts to finalize the prisoner and detainee exchange deal, which was scheduled to be completed tomorrow (Saturday), through the International Committee of the Red Cross, under the exchange agreement signed between the government and the militias with UN sponsorship.
The Yemeni official news agency reported today (Friday) that the head of the government negotiating team on the file of detainees and prisoners, Hadi Heij, stated that the team received a notification from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the office of the UN special envoy to Yemen, rejecting the Houthi militias' implementation of the deal on the scheduled date and postponing it to an unspecified time.
Heij announced that this notification came after the government team had completed all procedures for implementing the exchange deal and releasing the detainees and prisoners, despite the obstacles placed by the militias to abort the completion of the deal.
The head of the government negotiating team held the Houthi militias responsible for the failure to complete the exchange deal on the scheduled date, and for their arrogance in aborting any efforts to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis, the detainees, and their families.
He emphasized that this action confirms the militias' continued exploitation of the humanitarian file of detainees and prisoners for political, military, and economic blackmail, and their indifference to the suffering of Yemenis.
The exchange deal, signed under the auspices of the United Nations, was supposed to result in the release of 1,680 prisoners and detainees, including 1,100 affiliated with the Houthi group and 580 affiliated with the Yemeni government and the coalition, on July 11, with a first mutual flight between Aden and Sana'a, followed by a second flight on the second day between Sana'a and the western coast, while the third and final flight would be between Marib and Sana'a.
