أعلن الاتحاد البرتغالي لكرة القدم، اليوم، تعيين خورخي جيسوس مدربا للمنتخب الأول خلفا للإسباني روبيرتو مارتينيز الذي غادر منصبه عقب الخروج من دور الـ 16 في بطولة كأس العالم 2026، بالخسارة أمام إسبانيا بهدف نظيف.
وأشرف جيسوس، المدرب المخضرم القديم في كرة القدم البرتغالية، على تدريب العديد من الأندية في بلاده، أبرزها بنفيكا وسبورتينغ، قطبا مدينة لشبونة.
وخارج البرتغال، تولى جيسوس تدريب فلامنغو البرازيلي، وفنربخشة التركي، ثم انتقل إلى العمل مع الهلال والنصر السعوديين، وقاد الأخير، الذي يلعب في صفوفه مواطنه النجم كريستيانو رونالدو، إلى التتويج بالدوري الموسم الماضي، فهل يستمر رونالدو في اللعب دولياً؟
وكان المدرب السابق مارتينيز، قاد منتخب البرتغال منذ 2023، وفاز معه بلقب دوري الأمم في يونيو 2025.
The Portuguese Football Federation announced today the appointment of Jorge Jesus as the head coach of the national team, succeeding the Spaniard Roberto Martinez, who left his position after the exit in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, losing to Spain by a single goal.
Jesus, the veteran coach in Portuguese football, has managed several clubs in his country, most notably Benfica and Sporting, the two giants of Lisbon.
Outside of Portugal, Jesus has coached Brazilian Flamengo, Turkish Fenerbahçe, and then moved to work with Saudi clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, leading the latter, which features his compatriot star Cristiano Ronaldo, to win the league title last season. Will Ronaldo continue to play internationally?
The former coach Martinez led the Portuguese national team since 2023 and won the Nations League title with them in June 2025.
