فرضت وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية، اليوم (الجمعة)، عقوبات على 8 أفراد و6 كيانات قالت إنها تشكل جزءاً من شبكة مالية مرتبطة بالمرشد الإيراني مجتبى خامنئي، والحرس الثوري، بالتزامن مع إصدار ترخيص عام يسمح بإنهاء التعاملات القائمة مع إحدى الشركات المدرجة.
وأعلن مكتب مراقبة الأصول الأجنبية (OFAC) إضافة رجل أعمال إيراني، وشركة «سمارت جلوبال ليمتد» التي يسيطر عليها، إلى قائمة الرعايا المحددين والأشخاص المحظورين، إلى جانب 3 شركات صرافة إيرانية ومديريها وشركتين في هونغ كونغ والإمارات.
وأصدر «OFAC» الترخيص العام الخاص بإيران Y، الذي يسمح بإجراء المعاملات اللازمة لإنهاء التعاملات القائمة مع شركة «سمارت جلوبال ليمتد».
ولا يمثل الترخيص إعفاءً عاماً من العقوبات المفروضة على إيران أو تراجعاً عن إدراج الشركة، بل يوفر فترة قانونية محدودة لترتيب الخروج من المعاملات القائمة معها، وفق الشروط والقيود التي حددها المكتب.
من جهة أخرى، اندلع حريق في مجمع «أوكسين بالايش» الصناعي بمحافظة لرستان غربي إيران، الجمعة، حسبما نقلت وكالة مهر للأنباء عن مسؤول محلي.
وقال المسؤول إن فرق الإطفاء والطوارئ تعمل على احتواء الحريق الذي اندلع في المنشأة الواقعة بقضاء بولدختر. وأضاف أنه لم تُسجل أي وفيات أو إصابات حتى الآن، فيما لا تزال السلطات تحقق في أسباب اندلاع الحريق.
The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions today (Friday) on 8 individuals and 6 entities that it said are part of a financial network linked to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the Revolutionary Guard, coinciding with the issuance of a general license allowing for the termination of existing transactions with one of the listed companies.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced the addition of an Iranian businessman and the company "Smart Global Limited," which he controls, to the list of specially designated nationals and blocked persons, along with 3 Iranian exchange companies and their directors, as well as two companies in Hong Kong and the UAE.
OFAC issued the general license for Iran Y, which allows for the necessary transactions to terminate existing dealings with "Smart Global Limited."
The license does not represent a general exemption from the sanctions imposed on Iran or a reversal of the company's listing, but rather provides a limited legal period to arrange for the exit from existing transactions with it, according to the terms and conditions set by the office.
On another note, a fire broke out at the "Oxin Palash" industrial complex in Lorestan province, western Iran, on Friday, according to the Mehr News Agency, citing a local official.
The official stated that firefighting and emergency teams are working to contain the fire that erupted at the facility located in the Poldokhtar district. He added that no fatalities or injuries have been reported so far, while authorities continue to investigate the causes of the fire.
