لقي 11 شخصًا على الأقل مصرعهم، وأصيب ثمانية آخرون، بينهم أربعة في حالة خطرة، جراء حريق غابات اندلع قرب مدينة ألميريا في إقليم الأندلس جنوب إسبانيا.
وأفادت السلطات الإقليمية بأن الحريق امتد على مساحة تُقدّر بنحو 3150 هكتارًا، فيما لا يزال 19 شخصًا على الأقل في عداد المفقودين، مع استمرار عمليات البحث عن ضحايا محتملين.
وأجلت السلطات نحو 50 شخصًا إلى مركز إيواء، وأغلقت عددًا من الطرق، فيما شاركت وحدة الطوارئ العسكرية في جهود مكافحة الحريق.
At least 11 people have died, and eight others have been injured, including four in critical condition, due to a forest fire that broke out near the city of Almería in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.
Regional authorities reported that the fire has spread over an area estimated at about 3,150 hectares, while at least 19 people are still missing, with search operations for potential victims ongoing.
Authorities have evacuated around 50 people to a shelter and closed several roads, while a military emergency unit has participated in firefighting efforts.
