أعلنت وزارة الاتصال والإعلام في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، اليوم، ارتفاع حصيلة الإصابات المؤكدة بفيروس إيبولا إلى 1528 حالة، فيما بلغ عدد الوفيات 492.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان: «إن إجمالي الإصابات المؤكدة بالفيروس وصلت إلى 1528 حالة، بينما ارتفع عدد الوفيات إلى 492، في ظل استمرار جهود السلطات الصحية لاحتواء تفشي المرض».
من جهتها، أعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية، في 17 مايو الماضي، أن تفشي فيروس إيبولا في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية وأوغندا يمثل حالة طوارئ.
The Ministry of Communication and Media in the Democratic Republic of the Congo announced today that the number of confirmed Ebola virus infections has risen to 1,528 cases, while the number of deaths has reached 492.
The ministry stated in a statement: "The total number of confirmed infections with the virus has reached 1,528 cases, while the death toll has risen to 492, amid ongoing efforts by health authorities to contain the outbreak."
For its part, the World Health Organization announced on May 17 that the Ebola virus outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda constitutes an emergency.
