عندما يفكر اللصوص في اقتحام متجر، فإن أكبر مخاوفهم هي مواجهة رجال الأمن أو قضبان السجون. لكن في إندونيسيا، واجه أربعة لصوص مصيراً غريباً لم يخطر لهم على بال، بعد أن قرر السكان المحليون التخلي عن الطرق التقليدية وتلقينهم درساً قاسياً تحول إلى تريند عالمي وصدم رجال الشرطة أنفسهم!
فكيف كانت هذه العقوبة المبتكرة والمثيرة للدهشة؟
الفخ البرتقالي.. طرود بشرية مشلولة تماماً
بدأ الكابوس عندما تسلل الرجال الأربعة ليلاً بهدف سرقة أحد المتاجر، لكن يقظة الأهالي أحبطت المخطط في ثوانٍ معدودة وتمت محاصرتهم.
وبدلاً من استخدام العنف أو اقتيادهم إلى مركز الأمن، أحضر الأهالي بكرات ضخمة من الشريط اللاصق العريض لونه برتقالي فاقع، وبدأت عملية عقاب سينمائية، حيث قاموا بلف اللصوص الأربعة من الرأس إلى القدمين بطبقات كثيفة ومحكمة من الشريط، حتى تحولوا تماماً إلى ما يشبه «المومياوات البرتقالية». لدرجة شلت حركتهم بالكامل وجعلتهم غير قادرين حتى على تحريك إصبع واحد، وتم رميهم على الأرض في أوضاع غريبة ومضحكة.
وعندما وصلت قوات الشرطة الإندونيسية إلى موقع الحادثة، أصيب رجال الأمن بالدهشة والذهول من المشهد الصادم، إذ لم يجدوا لصوصاً هاربين أو مقيدين بالحبال، بل وجدوا «طروداً بشرية» مغلفة بالكامل بالبلاستيك البرتقالي في انتظارهم!
انتشرت اللقطات التي وثقت الواقعة كالنار في الهشيم على المنصات الرقمية، وسط انقسام حاد بين المتابعين:
- الفريق الأول: أشاد بذكاء الأهالي وسرعة تصرفهم الآمن الذي حمى المتجر دون نقطة دم واحدة.
- الفريق الثاني: تساءل بقلق عن حدود «التدخل المجتمعي» وقانونية معاقبة المتهمين وشل حركتهم بهذه الطريقة المهينة قبل عرضهم على القضاء.
وفي النهاية، قطعت الشرطة الشريط اللاصق وقامت بنقل اللصوص الأربعة إلى التحقيق لبدء الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم، في واقعة أثبتت أن غضب الأهالي قد يكون أحياناً أغرب بكثير من خيال صُناع السينما!

So how was this innovative and astonishing punishment carried out?
The Orange Trap.. Completely Immobilized Human Packages
The nightmare began when the four men sneaked in at night with the aim of robbing a store, but the vigilance of the locals thwarted the plan in seconds and they were surrounded.
Instead of using violence or taking them to a security center, the locals brought huge rolls of bright orange duct tape and began a cinematic punishment process, wrapping the four thieves from head to toe in thick and tight layers of tape, until they completely resembled "orange mummies." They were immobilized to the extent that they couldn't even move a single finger, and were thrown on the ground in strange and funny positions.
When the Indonesian police arrived at the scene, the officers were astonished and stunned by the shocking sight, as they found no fleeing thieves or ones tied with ropes, but rather "human packages" completely wrapped in orange plastic waiting for them!
The footage documenting the incident spread like wildfire on digital platforms, amidst a sharp division among viewers:
- The first group praised the intelligence of the locals and their quick, safe action that protected the store without a single drop of blood.
- The second group expressed concern about the limits of "community intervention" and the legality of punishing the accused and immobilizing them in such an embarrassing way before presenting them to the judiciary.
In the end, the police cut the duct tape and took the four thieves for questioning to initiate legal proceedings against them, in an incident that proved that the anger of the locals can sometimes be much stranger than the imagination of filmmakers!
