أعلن رئيس الجمعية الوطنية الفنزويلية خورخي رودريغيز، أنه جرى تسجيل 782 هزة ارتدادية في فنزويلا منذ الزلازل المدمّرة التي ضربت البلاد في 24 يونيو الماضي.
وقال رودريغيز في إفادة صحفية بثتها قناة «في.تي.في» التلفزيونية المحلية: «منذ مساء 24 يونيو وحتى الآن، أحصينا 782 هزة ارتدادية».
وأشار إلى أن معدل تكرار الهزات الارتدادية وقوتها يستمران في الانخفاض.
وكانت فنزويلا قد تعرضت الأسبوع الماضي لزلزالين قويين بلغت شدتهما 7.2 و7.5 درجة، ووفقًا لأحدث البيانات الرسمية، ارتفعت حصيلة الضحايا إلى 2,295 شخصًا، فيما تجاوز عدد المصابين 11,267 شخصًا.
The President of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, announced that 782 aftershocks have been recorded in Venezuela since the devastating earthquakes that struck the country on June 24.
Rodríguez stated in a press briefing broadcast by the local channel "VTV": "Since the evening of June 24 until now, we have counted 782 aftershocks."
He noted that the frequency and intensity of the aftershocks continue to decrease.
Venezuela experienced two strong earthquakes last week, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, and according to the latest official data, the death toll has risen to 2,295, while the number of injured has exceeded 11,267.
