في مأساة إنسانية مروعة هزت الشارع اليمني، لقى معلم يمني حتفه بطريقة وحشية في مديرية «خَمِر» بمحافظة عمران، بعدما قاده حسّه الإنساني للتدخل وإنقاذ حيوان ضعيف من بطش أحد الأشخاص، لينتهي به المطاف ضحية لجريمة قتل غادرة.
الضحية هو المعلم محمد شمسان، الذي قضى 25 عاماً من عمره مغترباً عن عائلته لتأدية رسالته التعليمية، قبل أن تسيل دماؤه أمام المدرسة التي طالما علّم فيها الأجيال.
بدأت الواقعة عندما شاهد المعلم محمد شمسان شخصاً وهو يعتدي بوحشية على كلب مارّ أمام المدرسة الحكومية بالمديرية. لم يحتمل المربي الفاضل هذا المشهد القاسي، فتدخل فوراً وطالب المعتدي بالتوقف عن ضرب الحيوان وتركه وشأنه.
التحذير الإنساني لم يعجب الجاني، فرد على المعلم بألفاظ عنصرية ومسيئة، لتتطور المشادة الشفهية بينهما سريعاً إلى هجوم دموي مرعب.
في لحظة جنون، استل الجاني خنجره المحلي المعروف بـ«الجنبية»، وانهال به على جسد المعلم المستسلم.
وفجّر وجيه محمد نجل الضحية مفاجأة صادمة عبر حسابه في «فيسبوك»، مؤكداً أن الجاني وجّه لجسد والده 20 طعنة غادرة أودت بحياته فوراً، ومضيفاً بحسرة: «أفنى والدي عمره في تعليم الأبناء، وحرص على أداء واجبه رغم انقطاع المرتبات لسنوات، وفي المقابل يُكافأ بأن يُعاد إلينا جثة هامدة!».
وأثارت الجريمة موجة غضب عارمة على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي وفي الأوساط التعليمية باليمن، وسط مطالبات واسعة من أسرة الضحية والقبائل بإنزال عقوبة القصاص العاجل بحق القاتل.
كما دخلت أوساط تعليمية على الخط، وطالبت بمحاسبة الجاني وتوفير حماية حقيقية للمعلمين الذين يمثلون ركيزة المجتمع، معتبرةً الحادثة انتهاكاً صارخاً للحق في الحياة، في وقت أكدت فيه مصادر محلية أن السلطات الأمنية تحفظت على الجاني تمهيداً لتقديمه للمحاكمة.
In a horrific humanitarian tragedy that shook the Yemeni street, a Yemeni teacher was brutally killed in the "Khamir" district of Amran governorate, after his human instinct led him to intervene and save a weak animal from the brutality of an individual, ultimately making him a victim of a treacherous murder.
The victim is teacher Mohammed Shamsan, who spent 25 years away from his family to fulfill his educational mission, before his blood was shed in front of the school where he had long taught generations.
The incident began when teacher Mohammed Shamsan saw a person brutally attacking a dog passing in front of the government school in the district. The noble educator could not bear this harsh scene, so he immediately intervened and demanded that the assailant stop hitting the animal and leave it alone.
The humanitarian warning did not please the perpetrator, who responded to the teacher with racist and offensive remarks, quickly escalating the verbal altercation between them into a terrifying bloody attack.
In a moment of madness, the assailant drew his local dagger known as "janbiya" and struck the defenseless teacher's body.
Wajih Mohammed, the victim's son, revealed a shocking surprise through his Facebook account, confirming that the assailant inflicted 20 treacherous stabs on his father's body, which led to his immediate death, adding with sorrow: "My father dedicated his life to educating children and insisted on fulfilling his duty despite the suspension of salaries for years, and in return, he is rewarded by being returned to us as a lifeless corpse!"
The crime sparked an overwhelming wave of anger on social media platforms and within educational circles in Yemen, with widespread demands from the victim's family and tribes for the immediate implementation of retribution against the killer.
Educational circles also joined the call, demanding accountability for the perpetrator and the provision of real protection for teachers who represent the backbone of society, considering the incident a blatant violation of the right to life, while local sources confirmed that security authorities had detained the assailant in preparation for his trial.
