كشفت تحقيقات قضائية في مصر عن تفاصيل مثيرة ومعقدة تتعلق بطالب في الفرقة الرابعة بكلية طب قصر العيني، يُشتبه في إدارته شبكة ابتزاز إلكتروني عابرة للقارات استهدفت فتيات قاصرات داخل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وهي الواقعة التي تكشفت خيوطها بفضل تعاون أمني رفيع المستوى بين الأجهزة الأمنية المصرية ومكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي الأمريكي (FBI)، بحسب ما أوردته منصة «القاهرة 24».
وبدأت أبعاد القضية تتضح بعدما تلقت السلطات الأمريكية بلاغات متتالية من قاصرات وأسرهن، تؤكد تعرضهن للاستدراج والابتزاز من قِبل حساب مجهول يتعمد استخدام تطبيقات مراسلة مشفرة لإخفاء هويته، ما دفع أجهزة الأمن هناك إلى فتح تحقيق تقني موسع لكشف هوية الفاعل.
وقد نجح خبراء الـ (FBI) في تتبع النشاط الرقمي المرتبط بالمتهم من خلال تحليل دقيق لبيانات الاتصال والحسابات المستخدمة، لتأتي المفاجأة بأن الإشارات الرقمية قادت مباشرة إلى تحديد هويته وموقع إقامته داخل مصر. وفور التنسيق مع السلطات المصرية، جرى تبادل الأدلة الفنية والمعلومات، ما ساعد في رسم الصورة الكاملة للأسلوب المتبع في الإيقاع بالضحايا.
وتشير التحقيقات إلى أن الطالب اعتمد على منصة «ديسكورد» (Discord) كبوابة أولى للتواصل مع الضحايا، مستدرجاً إياهن للحصول على صور ومقاطع مصورة خاصة، لتبدأ بعد ذلك مرحلة الابتزاز؛ حيث هدد الفتيات بنشر تلك المواد على مواقع إلكترونية ما لم يقمن بإرسال مواد إضافية أو تحويل مبالغ مالية عبر وسائل دفع رقمية كان من بينها منصة «PayPal».
ومع توقيف المتهم، أسفر الفحص الفني للأجهزة الإلكترونية المضبوطة بحوزته عن العثور على ملفات رقمية ومواد ومقاطع اعتبرتها جهات التحقيق أدلة دامغة تدعم الاتهامات الموجهة إليه. وبناءً على هذه المعطيات، قررت النيابة العامة إحالة المتهم إلى محكمة الجنايات مع استمرار حبسه احتياطياً، لتسلط هذه القضية الضوء على خطورة الجرائم الإلكترونية العابرة للحدود، والأهمية المتزايدة للتنسيق الأمني الدولي لحماية القاصرين في الفضاء الرقمي.
Judicial investigations in Egypt have revealed intriguing and complex details concerning a fourth-year student at Qasr El-Aini School of Medicine, who is suspected of managing a transcontinental cyber extortion network targeting underage girls within the United States. This incident came to light thanks to high-level security cooperation between Egyptian security agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to what was reported by the platform "Cairo 24".
The dimensions of the case began to clarify after American authorities received consecutive reports from minors and their families, confirming that they had been lured and extorted by an anonymous account that deliberately used encrypted messaging applications to conceal its identity. This prompted security agencies there to open an extensive technical investigation to uncover the perpetrator's identity.
FBI experts succeeded in tracking the digital activity associated with the accused by conducting a precise analysis of the communication data and the accounts used. The surprise was that the digital signals directly led to identifying his identity and place of residence within Egypt. Upon coordinating with Egyptian authorities, technical evidence and information were exchanged, which helped in painting a complete picture of the method used to ensnare the victims.
Investigations indicate that the student relied on the "Discord" platform as a primary gateway to communicate with the victims, luring them into providing private photos and videos. This was followed by the extortion phase, where he threatened the girls with publishing that material on websites unless they sent additional materials or transferred sums of money through digital payment methods, including the "PayPal" platform.
With the arrest of the accused, a technical examination of the electronic devices seized from him revealed digital files and materials and clips that the investigative authorities considered to be compelling evidence supporting the charges against him. Based on this information, the public prosecution decided to refer the accused to the criminal court while continuing his detention, highlighting the seriousness of cross-border cyber crimes and the increasing importance of international security coordination to protect minors in the digital space.
