شهدت مدينة مودينا الإيطالية، حادثة دهس مروعة أسفرت عن إصابة ثمانية أشخاص، بينهم أربعة في حالة صحية حرجة، بعدما اقتحم شاب بسيارته تجمعاً للمواطنين وسط المدينة.
وأفادت وسائل إعلام إيطالية بأن المنفذ، وهو شاب من أصول مغربية يبلغ من العمر 31 عاماً، حاول الفرار من موقع الحادثة سيراً على الأقدام وكان يحمل سكيناً، إلا أن شجاعة عدد من المارة حالت دون هروبه، حيث تمكنوا من محاصرته وشل حركته حتى وصول عناصر الأمن.
ووفقاً للتحقيقات الأولية التي أجرتها الشرطة الإيطالية، فإن المشتبه به من مواليد مدينة «برغامو» الإيطالية، ويحمل شهادة الإجازة (البكالوريوس) في الاقتصاد. كما كشفت تحريات الأجهزة الأمنية أن الشاب كان يخضع خلال الفترة الماضية لعلاج نفسي، مرجحة أن تكون الاضطرابات النفسية هي الدافع وراء ارتكاب هذه الواقعة التي هزت الرأي العام المحلي.

Italian media reported that the perpetrator, a 31-year-old man of Moroccan descent, attempted to flee the scene on foot while carrying a knife, but the bravery of several bystanders prevented his escape, as they managed to corner him and immobilize him until security forces arrived.
According to initial investigations conducted by the Italian police, the suspect was born in the city of "Bergamo" and holds a bachelor's degree in economics. Security agencies revealed that the young man had been undergoing psychological treatment in recent times, suggesting that mental health issues may have been the motive behind this incident that shocked the local public opinion.
