من بلاغ «اختفاء» إلى «لجوء»
بدأت القصة حينما أبلغ الزوج السلطات الأمنية العراقية عن «اختفاء» زوجته وطفلته في ظروف غامضة بمنطقة المنصور. إلا أن التحريات كشفت حقيقة مغايرة تماماً، إذ كانت الزوجة قد نجحت في الوصول إلى أسوار السفارة الأمريكية، حاملة آثار ضرب «مبرح» تعرضت له، لتطلب الحماية العاجلة والدعم القانوني.
وبحسب مصادر أمنية وما نقلته وسائل إعلام محلية، فإن السيدة اتخذت قرار الهروب المفاجئ بعد وصول حياتها الزوجية إلى طريق مسدود نتيجة العنف الجسدي. وصلت المواطنة الأمريكية إلى السفارة في حالة صدمة، برفقة طفلتها الصغيرة، ما استدعى استنفاراً قانونياً لتوثيق الحالة.

However, investigations revealed a completely different truth, as the wife had successfully reached the walls of the American embassy, bearing the marks of severe beating she had endured, to request urgent protection and legal support.
According to security sources and local media reports, the woman made the sudden decision to flee after her marriage reached a dead end due to physical violence. The American citizen arrived at the embassy in a state of shock, accompanied by her young child, prompting a legal mobilization to document the case.
The relevant authorities are currently considering legal actions against the husband, with expectations that the case may take on international dimensions given that the wife holds American citizenship. Questions are being raised about whether the trial will take place within Iraq or if external parties will be involved to ensure the protection of the American citizen and her child.
