أوقفت السلطات الأمريكية رجلاً يبلغ نحو 30 عاماً في ولاية لويزيانا، بعد تحقيقات أمنية كشفت حيازته مواد غير قانونية، ليوجّه إليه نحو 40 تهمة جنائية، وفق ما نقلته تقارير إعلامية بينها صحيفة The Sun.
وأفادت الجهات المختصة بأن عملية التوقيف جاءت عقب رصد نشاط رقمي مشبوه، أعقبه تفتيش قانوني أفضى إلى ضبط أجهزة إلكترونية تحتوي على مواد مخالفة، دعمت لائحة الاتهام المرفوعة ضده.
وأثار توصيف المتهم إعلامياً -بأنه (مبرمج Roblox)- جدلاً واسعاً، إذ أوضحت شركة Roblox أنه لا يعمل لديها، وإنما يُعد مستخدماً عادياً ينشئ محتوى داخل المنصة، في إطار ما يعرف بصنّاع الألعاب.
وأكدت الشركة اتخاذ إجراءات فورية شملت إيقاف حساباته وإزالة أي محتوى مرتبط به، في سياق التزامها بسياسات حماية المستخدمين، خصوصاً الفئات العمرية الصغيرة.
وتسلّط القضية الضوء على التحديات المتزايدة المرتبطة بسلامة المستخدمين في منصات الألعاب الرقمية، وسط دعوات لتعزيز الرقابة والتوعية.
U.S. authorities have arrested a man in Louisiana who is around 30 years old, following security investigations that revealed his possession of illegal materials, leading to approximately 40 criminal charges against him, according to media reports including The Sun.
The relevant authorities reported that the arrest came after monitoring suspicious digital activity, which was followed by a legal search that resulted in the seizure of electronic devices containing prohibited materials, supporting the charges filed against him.
The media description of the accused as a (Roblox programmer) has sparked widespread controversy, as Roblox clarified that he does not work for them, but is merely an ordinary user creating content within the platform, in what is known as game creators.
The company confirmed that it took immediate actions, including suspending his accounts and removing any content associated with him, as part of its commitment to user protection policies, especially for younger age groups.
