شهدت ولاية أريزونا الأمريكية حدثًا وصفه الأطباء بـ«المعجزة»، بعد أن عاد طفل صغير إلى الحياة لساعات بعد إعلان وفاته إثر غرقه في مسبح خلفي خلال نهائي دوري كرة القدم الأمريكية (سوبر بول).
وفور اكتشاف الطفل في حوض السباحة بمدينة جيلبرت، هرعت فرق الطوارئ محاولين إنقاذه، وأُعلن وفاته الساعة 6:20 مساءً، وفق ما نقلت قناة AZFamily. لكن بعد خمس ساعات، بدأت علامات الحياة تظهر على الطفل، ليُنقل جواً إلى مستشفى آخر في المنطقة، ويتوقع الأطباء أن ينجو من محنته.
وقال الدكتور فرانك لوفيكيو: «من الصعب تصديق أن طفلًا أعلن عن وفاته ثم عاد للحياة. هذا وضع معجزي بكل معنى الكلمة»، مرجعًا سبب النجاة إلى برودة الماء التي أبطأت نبضه وجعلته شبه غير مكتشف.
وأكد عضو الكونغرس عن ولاية أريزونا آندي بيغز أن ما حدث هو معجزة حقيقية، مطالباً الأهالي بضرورة مراقبة الأطفال عن قرب في المسابح لتجنب الكوارث.
وتأتي هذه الحادثة بعد سلسلة مأساوية من حالات الغرق في الولاية، كان أبرزها وفاة توأم يبلغ عمره ثلاث سنوات في مايو 2024 في مسبح خلفي، في تذكير مؤلم بخطورة عدم مراقبة الأطفال الصغار حول المياه.
The state of Arizona witnessed an event that doctors described as a "miracle," after a young child came back to life for hours following the announcement of his death due to drowning in a backyard pool during the Super Bowl.
As soon as the child was discovered in the pool in Gilbert, emergency teams rushed to save him, and he was pronounced dead at 6:20 PM, according to AZFamily. However, five hours later, signs of life began to appear in the child, who was airlifted to another hospital in the area, with doctors expecting him to survive his ordeal.
Dr. Frank Lovecchio stated, "It's hard to believe that a child was declared dead and then came back to life. This is a miraculous situation in every sense of the word," attributing the survival to the cold water that slowed his pulse and made him nearly undetectable.
Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs confirmed that what happened is a true miracle, urging parents to closely monitor children in pools to avoid disasters.
This incident comes after a tragic series of drowning cases in the state, the most notable being the death of a three-year-old twin in May 2024 in a backyard pool, serving as a painful reminder of the dangers of not supervising young children around water.
