شيّعت الكويت، اليوم، الطفلة «إلنا عبدالله» (11 عامًا) إلى مثواها في مقبرة الصليبخات، بعدما خطفها الموت متأثرة بإصابتها جراء سقوط شظايا على أحد المنازل في منطقة سكنية بمحافظة العاصمة، خلال تصدّي القوات المسلحة لأهداف جوية معادية في أجواء الكويت.
وتحوّل التشييع إلى مشهد حزين امتزجت فيه الدموع بالدعوات، فيما توافد مواطنون بأعداد كبيرة لمواساة والدها ومشاركة الأسرة مصابها الأليم، في حادثة هزّت الشارع الكويتي وأعادت تسليط الضوء على تداعيات التصعيد العسكري في المنطقة.
كلمات أب مكلوم: «نعمة أعطاني الله إياها وأخذها»
وفي مشهد مؤثر خلال مراسم التشييع، قال والد الطفلة والألم يعتصر قلبه: «هي من مواليد الكويت، وهي نعمة من رب العالمين أعطاني إياها وأخذها»، مضيفًا: «أشكر دولة الكويت وحكومة دولة الكويت، ما قصروا معاي».
وأوضح أن طفلته كانت نائمة برفقة شقيقتها لحظة سقوط الشظايا، مشيرًا إلى أن لديه طفلتين، إحداهما توفيت والأخرى بصحة جيدة، كما أكد أن والدتهما تتمتع بحالة مستقرة.
«الصحة»: الوفاة متأثرة بالجراح
وأعلنت وزارة الصحة الكويتية أن الطفلة البالغة من العمر 11 عامًا فارقت الحياة متأثرة بجراحها في المستشفى، رغم محاولات إنقاذها من قبل فرق الطوارئ الطبية.
وأضافت الوزارة في بيان منفصل أن والدة الطفلة و3 من أقاربها أُصيبوا بجروح متفاوتة، ويتلقون العلاج اللازم، مؤكدة استمرار تقديم الرعاية الطبية لهم.
اعتراض أهداف جوية وسقوط شظايا
من جهته، أوضح الجيش الكويتي في بيان أن الشظايا سقطت على أحد المنازل في منطقة سكنية بمدينة الكويت، ما أسفر عن سقوط ضحايا، وذلك أثناء قيام القوات باعتراض «عدة أهداف جوية معادية» في سماء البلاد.
Kuwait today laid to rest the 11-year-old girl "Ilna Abdullah" in the Al-Sulaibikhat cemetery, after death claimed her life due to injuries sustained from shrapnel falling on a house in a residential area in the capital governorate, during the armed forces' response to hostile aerial targets in the skies of Kuwait.
The funeral turned into a sorrowful scene where tears mingled with prayers, as a large number of citizens gathered to console her father and share in the family's painful loss, in an incident that shook the Kuwaiti street and brought renewed attention to the repercussions of military escalation in the region.
A Grieving Father's Words: "A blessing given to me by God and taken away"
In an emotional scene during the funeral proceedings, the girl's father, with pain in his heart, said: "She was born in Kuwait, and she is a blessing from the Lord of the Worlds that He gave me and took away," adding: "I thank the State of Kuwait and the Government of the State of Kuwait; they have not let me down."
He explained that his daughter was sleeping with her sister at the moment the shrapnel fell, noting that he has two daughters, one of whom has passed away while the other is in good health. He also confirmed that their mother is in stable condition.
"Health": Death due to injuries
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced that the 11-year-old girl passed away in the hospital due to her injuries, despite attempts to save her by emergency medical teams.
The ministry added in a separate statement that the girl's mother and three of her relatives sustained varying injuries and are receiving the necessary treatment, confirming that medical care for them continues.
Interception of aerial targets and falling shrapnel
For its part, the Kuwaiti army clarified in a statement that the shrapnel fell on a house in a residential area in the city of Kuwait, resulting in casualties, while the forces were intercepting "several hostile aerial targets" in the country's skies.
