شهدت صالة الركاب رقم 1 في مطار هونغ كونغ، حادثة صادمة بعدما أقدم رجل على إسقاط أجهزة تسجيل السفر الذاتي وتحطيمها باستخدام عمود معدني، في مشهد أثار ذهول المسافرين وموظفي المطار.
وتداول رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي مقطع فيديو يوثق الواقعة، إذ ظهر الرجل، مرتدياً سترة سوداء وبنطال جينز أزرق وحقيبة جانبية، وهو يتجه بخطوات سريعة نحو صف من أجهزة تسجيل الدخول الآلية في منطقة المغادرة.
ودون تردد، بدأ بدفع الأجهزة بقوة واحداً تلو الآخر، لتتهاوى على أرضية الصالة وسط أصوات ارتطام عالية، ولم يكتفِ بذلك، إذ التقط عموداً معدنياً مخصصاً لتنظيم صفوف المسافرين، وشرع في تحطيم الأجهزة التي أسقطها، مكرراً ضربها بعنف.

وبحسب تقارير صحفية، أسفر الهجوم عن إلحاق أضرار بنحو 10 أجهزة تسجيل ذاتي، إضافة إلى حواجز معدنية ومناضد قريبة وحتى لوح زجاجي داخل الصالة.
وأفادت صحيفة «South China Morning Post» أن الرجل تبين لاحقاً أنه سائح بريطاني يبلغ من العمر 35 عاماً، وكان يحاول شراء تذكرة سفر قبل أن يبدأ تصرفه العنيف، دون أن تتضح الأسباب المباشرة وراء نوبة الغضب التي انتابته.
ومن جانبها، تحركت فرق أمن المطار بسرعة إلى موقع الحادثة، ووجهت له تحذيرات بضرورة التوقف عن أعمال التخريب، قبل أن تستدعي الشرطة التي قامت باعتقاله وفتح تحقيق رسمي في الواقعة.
كما ذكرت تقارير أنه عند توقيفه، عثرت الشرطة بحوزته على 4 حبات من عقار «فياغرا» دون وصفة طبية.
وقال متحدث باسم هيئة المطار إن فرق الأمن وصلت فوراً إلى المكان وتعاملت مع الموقف، مؤكداً أن التحقيقات لا تزال جارية لكشف ملابسات الحادثة.

According to press reports, the attack resulted in damage to about 10 self-check-in machines, as well as nearby metal barriers, tables, and even a glass panel inside the terminal.
The "South China Morning Post" reported that the man was later identified as a 35-year-old British tourist who was attempting to purchase a travel ticket before his violent outburst, with the direct reasons for his rage remaining unclear.
In response, airport security teams quickly moved to the scene of the incident and warned him to stop the vandalism before calling the police, who arrested him and opened an official investigation into the incident.
Reports also indicated that upon his arrest, the police found 4 pills of the drug "Viagra" in his possession without a prescription.
A spokesperson for the airport authority stated that security teams arrived immediately at the location and handled the situation, confirming that investigations are still ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
