ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته 5.6 درجة على مقياس ريختر اليوم، شمال شرق جزيرة إيستر في تشيلي.
وأفادت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية أن الزلزال وقع على عمق 10 كيلومترات، وكان مركزه على بعد 382.5 كيلومترً شمال شرق «هانجا روا» بجزيرة إيستر.
ولم ترد تقارير فورية عن وقوع أمواج مد عاتية (تسونامي) أو أضرار مادية.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale struck today, northeast of Easter Island in Chile.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, with its epicenter located 382.5 kilometers northeast of "Hanga Roa" on Easter Island.
No immediate reports of tsunami waves or material damage have been received.
