تحولت مدينة ساو باولو البرازيلية إلى مسرح مأساوي بعد وفاة الشابة ماريا كاتيانِه غوميز دا سيلفا (25 عاماً) إثر سقوطها من شرفة الطابق العاشر لشقتهما بعد شجار عنيف مع زوجها أليكس لياندرو بيسبو دوس سانتوس (40 عاماً). وكشفت الحادثة سلسلة اعتداءات جسدية مروّعة قبل الوفاة، بحسب تسجيلات كاميرات المراقبة التي أظهرت ضربها في موقف السيارات، وجرّها عبر المصعد، ومحاولتها اليائسة التمسك بالباب قبل سقوطها المأساوي.
وعند وصول فرق الطوارئ، كان الزوج يحتضن جثة ماريا مدعياً أن الوفاة كانت انتحاراً، إلا أن الأدلة الرقمية قلبت الرواية، لتؤدي بعد 9 أيام إلى القبض على بيسبو دوس سانتوس للاشتباه في ارتكابه جريمة قتل على أساس النوع الاجتماعي (فيمينيسايد).
يذكر أن ماريا المنحدرة من ولاية سيارا، انتقلت إلى ساو باولو لتحقيق فرص جديدة، وأصبحت شخصية مؤثرة على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي من خلال محتوى عن المكياج والسفر والصحة، تاركة وراءها ابنة من علاقة سابقة، ما زاد من مأساوية الحادثة وأثّر في متابعيها ومجتمعها المحلي بشكل واسع.
The Brazilian city of São Paulo turned into a tragic stage after the young woman Maria Katiane Gomes da Silva (25 years old) fell from the balcony of their tenth-floor apartment following a violent argument with her husband Alex Leandro Bispo dos Santos (40 years old). The incident revealed a series of horrific physical assaults prior to her death, according to surveillance camera recordings that showed her being beaten in the parking lot, dragged through the elevator, and her desperate attempts to cling to the door before her tragic fall.
When emergency teams arrived, the husband was holding Maria's body, claiming that her death was a suicide; however, digital evidence overturned the narrative, leading to the arrest of Bispo dos Santos nine days later on suspicion of committing a gender-based murder (femicide).
It is worth mentioning that Maria, originally from the state of Ceará, moved to São Paulo in search of new opportunities and became an influential figure on social media through content about makeup, travel, and health, leaving behind a daughter from a previous relationship, which added to the tragedy of the incident and had a significant impact on her followers and local community.
