تسببت مفاجأة غير متوقعة على متن رحلة تابعة لشركة الخطوط الجوية الهولندية KLM في فوضى كبيرة للمسافرين، بعد اكتشاف فأر ضخم داخل الطائرة أثناء تحليقها فوق المحيط، ما اضطر الطيار لتغيير مسار الرحلة وإلغاء السفر لمئات الركاب.
وكانت الطائرة من طراز إيرباص A330 متجهة من أمستردام إلى جزيرة بونير، حين لاحظ الطاقم القارض وهو يتجول بين مقصورات الركاب، فوق قضبان الستائر وخزائن الأمتعة العلوية، قبل أن يتم إلغاء الرحلة وتوجيهها إلى أروبا كوجهة آمنة.
وأفادت الشركة بأن أكثر من 250 راكباً تأثروا بإلغاء الرحلة، لاضطرارها إلى تنظيف الطائرة بالكامل لضمان سلامتهم وراحتهم قبل إعادة تشغيلها. وأكد متحدث باسم KLM أن الحادثة «استثنائية للغاية»، وأن سلامة الركاب والطاقم هي الأولوية المطلقة.
رغم الهلع المحتمل، بقي الركاب هادئين، فيما راقب الطاقم الفأر عن كثب للتأكد من عدم اقترابه من الركاب أو الطعام، وفق ما ذكر موقع RTL News ووسائل إعلام دولية أخرى.

The Airbus A330 was en route from Amsterdam to Bonaire when the crew noticed the rodent wandering between the passenger cabins, above the curtain rods and in the overhead luggage compartments, before the flight was canceled and redirected to Aruba as a safe destination.
The company reported that more than 250 passengers were affected by the flight cancellation, as it had to completely clean the aircraft to ensure their safety and comfort before it could be put back into service. A spokesperson for KLM confirmed that the incident was "extremely unusual" and that the safety of passengers and crew is the top priority.
Despite the potential panic, passengers remained calm, while the crew closely monitored the mouse to ensure it did not approach the passengers or food, according to RTL News and other international media.
