ارتفع عدد ضحايا الانهيار الأرضي في إقليم جاوة الوسطى بإندونيسيا، وأسفر الحادث حتى آلان عن مصرع 18 شخصاً.
وذكرت الوكالة الوطنية لإدارة الكوارث في إندونيسيا، أمس، أن أكثر من 30 شخصاًَ يعتبرون في عداد المفقودين، مشيرة إلى تضرر 16 منزلاً على الأقل جراء الانهيار الأرضي.
يذكر أن الانهيار الأرضي الأول وقع الخميس الماضي في ثلاث قرى في مقاطعة سيلاكاب الساحلية، على بُعد نحو 400 كيلومتر شرق العاصمة جاكرتا، ما أدى إلى مصرع 6 أشخاص وفقدان 17 آخرين، بعد هطول أمطار غزيرة لفترات طويلة أدت إلى تليين التربة وانزلاقها.
وتشير هيئة الأرصاد الجوية الإندونيسية إلى أن موسم الأمطار، الذي بدأ في سبتمبر الماضي ويستمر حتى أبريل القادم، يرفع مخاطر الفيضانات والانهيارات الأرضية في عدة مناطق من البلاد.
وكانت مدينة بيكالونجان في جاوة الوسطى، قد شهدت في يناير الماضي انهياراً أرضياً ناجماً عن سيول، أسفرت عن مصرع ما لا يقل عن 25 شخصاً.

The National Disaster Management Agency of Indonesia reported yesterday that more than 30 people are considered missing, noting that at least 16 houses have been damaged due to the landslide.
It is worth mentioning that the first landslide occurred last Thursday in three villages in the coastal district of Cilacap, about 400 kilometers east of the capital Jakarta, resulting in the deaths of 6 people and the disappearance of 17 others, following heavy rainfall over extended periods that led to soil softening and sliding.
The Indonesian Meteorology Agency indicates that the rainy season, which began last September and will continue until next April, increases the risks of floods and landslides in several regions of the country.
Last January, the city of Pekalongan in Central Java experienced a landslide caused by floods, resulting in the deaths of at least 25 people.
