وشهد طريق السويس حادثة تصادم مروعة بين 3 سيارات تريلا و5 سيارات ملاكي وأتوبيسين، الأمر الذي أسفر عن سقوط عدد من الضحايا جارٍ حصره، بالإضافة إلى وجود مصابين.
البداية كانت عندما تلقت غرفة عمليات النجدة، بلاغًا يفيد بوقوع حادثة تصادم بين مجموعة من السيارت على طريق السويس، وعلى الفور هرعت أعداد كبيرة من قوات الإنقاذ وسيارات الإسعاف لمكان الحادثة. وتكثف الأجهزة الأمنية جهودها لكشف ملابسات الحادثة تمهيدًا لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية.
وكشفت التحريات الأولية لرجال مباحث القاهرة في واقعة حادثة تصادم سيارات طريق السويس الذي أسفر عن مصرع شخصين وإصابة 41 اخرين، أن سبب الحادثة سيارة نقل ثقيل «تريلا» كانت تسير بسرعة كبيرة، فاصطدمت بسيارتين «ملاكي»، ما أدى إلى اندفاعهما في اتجاه أتوبيسين وسيارتين «ميكروباص» و3 سيارات أخرى، لتتحطم جميعها بالكامل.
وأضافت التحريات الأولية أن الحادثة تسببت في انسكاب كميات كبيرة من السولار على الطريق، وتم الدفع بسيارات الإطفاء والمرور لرفع آثار الحادثة وإعادة تسيير الحركة.

The preliminary investigations also indicated that the accident caused a large amount of diesel to spill onto the road, and firefighting and traffic vehicles were dispatched to clear the remnants of the accident and restore traffic flow.
