في تطور قضائي هزّ الأوساط السياسية في فرنسا، أعلن مكتب المدعي العام في باريس (الجمعة) إحالة سجينين إلى المحاكمة بتهمة تهديد الرئيس الفرنسي السابق نيكولا ساركوزي بالقتل والتواطؤ ضده في يومه الأول داخل السجن. واتُّهم أحدهما، إلييس ب، بأنه «هدد بالقتل» ساركوزي «بشكل متكرر» وصرح بعبارات مثيرة للقلق: «سيُمضي وقتاً عصيباً في السجن»، و«سننتقم للقذافي، فنحن نعرف كل شيء، ساركوزي». وتفتح هذه الاتهامات ملفات حسّاسة حول الأمن داخل المؤسسات السجنية ومخاطر تصاعد التوترات السياسية إلى ساحات المحاكم. المزيد من التفاصيل حول مجريات المحاكمة والتهم ستتضح مع بدء الإجراءات القضائية.
عقوبة السجن 3 سنوات
ويُعاقَب على هذه الجريمة بالسجن 3 سنوات وغرامة قدرها 45 ألف يورو.
كما يُتهم إلييس ب، الذي يواجه عقوبة السجن لمدة تصل إلى 5 سنوات، «بحيازة هاتف محمول والاستفادة منه مع علمه بأنه جريمة تسليم غرض بشكل غير قانوني إلى محتجز».
هاتف لتصوير التهديد
واتُّهم السجين، أنج أو، الذي يواجه عقوبة السجن لمدة 3 سنوات وغرامة قدرها 45 ألف يورو، بالتواطؤ «في المساعدة» على تهديد ساركوزي «بالقتل» عبر «السماح باستخدام هاتفه المحمول لتصوير وتوزيع الفيديو الذي يتضمن التهديدات».
كما اتهم أنج أو، بحيازة هاتف محمول بشكل غير قانوني وبرفض تسليم كلمة المرور الخاصة بالهاتف «في إطار تحقيق أولي».
ويعاقب على هذه الجريمة الأخيرة بالسجن لمدة 3 سنوات وبغرامة قدرها 270 ألف يورو.
وفي وقت سابق الأربعاء، وضع 3 من نزلاء سجن سانتيه، في باريس، على ذمة التحقيق بعد انتشار مقطع فيديو على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي يبدو أن أحد نزلاء السجن صوّره، يُوجّه فيه تهديدات لساركوزي لدى وصوله، الثلاثاء، إلى السجن.
تمويل غير قانوني
وحُكم على ساركوزي الذي كان رئيساً لفرنسا بين عامَي 2007 و2012، في أواخر سبتمبر، بالسجن 5 سنوات بعدما أُدين بالسماح لأقرب معاونَين له حين كان وزيراً للداخلية، هما بريس أورتوفو وكلود غيان، بالتواصل مع الزعيم الليبي السابق معمر القذافي، للحصول على تمويل غير قانوني لحملته الانتخابية عام 2007.
واستأنف ساركوزي الحكم، وللمرة الأولى في تاريخ الجمهورية الفرنسية يُسجن رئيسٌ سابق.
In a judicial development that has shaken the political circles in France, the Paris public prosecutor's office announced on Friday the referral of two prisoners to trial on charges of threatening former French President Nicolas Sarkozy with death and conspiring against him on his first day in prison. One of them, Elyes B, was accused of having "repeatedly threatened" Sarkozy with death and made concerning statements: "He will have a hard time in prison," and "We will take revenge for Gaddafi; we know everything, Sarkozy." These accusations open sensitive files regarding security within prison institutions and the risks of escalating political tensions to the courts. Three-Year Prison Sentence
This crime is punishable by a three-year prison sentence and a fine of 45,000 euros.
Elyes B, who faces a prison sentence of up to five years, is also accused of "possessing a mobile phone and using it knowing that it is a crime to deliver an item illegally to a detainee."
Phone for Filming the Threat
The prisoner, Ange O, who faces a three-year prison sentence and a fine of 45,000 euros, is accused of "aiding" in the threat against Sarkozy "by allowing the use of his mobile phone to film and distribute the video that includes the threats."
Ange O is also accused of illegally possessing a mobile phone and refusing to provide the password for the phone "in the context of a preliminary investigation."
This latter crime is punishable by a three-year prison sentence and a fine of 270,000 euros.
Earlier on Wednesday, three inmates at the Santé prison in Paris were placed under investigation after a video circulated on social media that appears to show one of the inmates threatening Sarkozy upon his arrival at the prison on Tuesday.
Illegal Funding
Sarkozy, who was President of France from 2007 to 2012, was sentenced in late September to five years in prison after being convicted of allowing his two closest aides when he was Minister of the Interior, Brice Hortefeux and Claude Guéant, to communicate with former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to obtain illegal funding for his 2007 election campaign.
Sarkozy has appealed the ruling, and for the first time in the history of the French Republic, a former president is imprisoned.
