أصدر المركز الوطني للأرصاد الجوية في الصين، اليوم، إنذارًا باللون الأصفر لمواجهة الإعصار «فنغشن»، وهو الإعصار الـ24 خلال العام الحالي، إذ يتوقع أن يجلب رياحًا قوية وأمطارًا غزيرة إلى أجزاء من المناطق الجنوبية في البلاد.
وقال المركز -في بيان نقلته وكالة الأنباء الصينية- «شينخوا»: «حتى الساعة التاسعة من صباح اليوم تم رصد الإعصار فوق مياه بحر الصين الجنوبي، على بعد نحو 170 كيلومترًا باتجاه غرب-شمال غرب جزيرة يونغشينغ التابعة لمدينة سانشا في مقاطعة هاينان بجنوب البلاد، مع سرعة رياح قصوى بالقرب من مركزه تبلغ 33 مترًا في الثانية».
وأضاف: «أن من المتوقع أن يتحرك الإعصار فنغشن بالاتجاه الجنوب الغربي بسرعة تقارب 10 كيلومترات في الساعة، مع الحفاظ على شدته في صباح اليوم قبل أن يضعف تدريجيًا».
ويتوقع أن يهبط الإعصار على اليابسة في الساحل الأوسط للفيتنام يوم الخميس كعاصفة استوائية قبل أن تتراجع شدته سريعًا.
ويوجد في الصين نظام للتحذير من الأعاصير مؤلّف من أربعة مستويات مرمزة بالألوان، حيث يمثل الأحمر أشدها خطورة، يليه البرتقالي، ثم الأصفر، فالأزرق.
The National Meteorological Center of China issued a yellow alert today in response to Typhoon "Fengshen," which is the 24th typhoon of the year. It is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to parts of the southern regions of the country.
The center stated in a statement reported by the Chinese news agency "Xinhua": "As of 9 AM today, the typhoon was observed over the waters of the South China Sea, about 170 kilometers west-northwest of Yongxing Island, which is part of the city of Sansha in Hainan Province in the south of the country, with maximum wind speeds near its center reaching 33 meters per second."
It added: "The typhoon Fengshen is expected to move southwest at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour, maintaining its intensity this morning before gradually weakening."
The typhoon is expected to make landfall on the central coast of Vietnam on Thursday as a tropical storm before quickly losing its strength.
China has a four-level color-coded warning system for typhoons, with red representing the most severe, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
