لقي شخصان مصرعهما بعد اصطدام طائرة شحن بمركبة أرضية أثناء هبوطها في هونغ كونغ قبل انحرافها عن المدرج والتحطم في البحر فجر اليوم (الإثنين).
وأصدرت إدارة الطيران المدني في هونغ كونغ بيانًا جاء فيه أن طائرة شحن من طراز بوينغ 744 انحرفت عن المدرج الشمالي بعد هبوطها وتحطمت في البحر، مبينةً أن أفراد الطاقم الأربعة الذين كانوا في الطائرة نقلوا إلى المستشفى في حين لقي اثنان من الموظفين مصرعهما على المدرج بعد اصطدام الطائرة بمركبة.
وأعلنت السلطات إغلاق المدرج الشمالي للمطار مؤقتًا، بينما لا يزال المدرجان الآخران قيد التشغيل.
Two people were killed after a cargo plane collided with a ground vehicle while landing in Hong Kong before veering off the runway and crashing into the sea early this morning (Monday).
The Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department issued a statement indicating that a Boeing 744 cargo plane veered off the northern runway after landing and crashed into the sea, noting that the four crew members on board were taken to the hospital while two employees were killed on the runway after the plane collided with the vehicle.
Authorities announced the temporary closure of the northern runway at the airport, while the other two runways remain operational.
