وتداولت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي فيديو نشره الفنان يظهر 2 من موظفي مطار القاهرة أثناء قيامهما بإجراءات التفتيش الجمركي له وسؤاله بشأن قلادة من الذهب تزن 2 كيلوغرام كانت بحوزته إذا ما كان يملك ما يثبت ملكيته لها، طالبين صورة له وهو يرتديها، مؤكداً أنها من أملاكه الشخصية وهي جزء من مظهره الفني.
وتلزم القوانين المصرية المسافرين بالتصريح عن أي مبالغ نقدية أو سلع ذات قيمة عالية، خصوصاً في ما يتعلق بالمعادن الثمينة والمجوهرات التي تفوق حدوداً معيّنة عند الدخول أو الخروج، لمنع التهريب وغسل الأموال.
