وأوضح المتحدث باسم شرطة جايسالمير، رانجيت سينغ، أن الحريق اندلع فجأة أثناء سير الحافلة على الطريق السريع، ما أدى إلى انتشار اللهب بسرعة فائقة داخل المركبة القديمة، محاصرا الركاب الذين كانوا يعودون من رحلة سياحية.
