فصلت شركة «أمازون» المهندس الفلسطيني أحمد شحرور بعد احتجاجه على تعاون الشركة مع الحكومة الإسرائيلية، وبررت الإدارة القرار بانتهاكه سياسات العمل الداخلية.

وكان شحرور وزّع منشورات داخل مقر الشركة وانتقد علناً عبر «سلاك» التعاون مع الحكومة الإسرائيلية، وخصوصاً مشروع الخدمات السحابية «نيمبوس» الذي يدعم الجيش الإسرائيلي.
ووفقاً لـ«بلومبيرغ»، نفى شحرور قيامه بأي مضايقات وادعى أن الإدارة اتهمته ظلماً، مؤكداً وجود أدلة فيديو تثبت ذلك. من جهتها، أكدت «أمازون» أنها اتخذت إجراءات صارمة ضد أي سلوك يهدد زملاء العمل.

Shahrour distributed flyers inside the company's headquarters and publicly criticized the collaboration with the Israeli government via Slack, particularly the "Nimbus" cloud services project that supports the Israeli army.
