The Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Mark Rowley, issued a formal apology following the broadcast of a secret video showing officers making sexual comments, glorifying violence, and expressing racist views.

The apology came after an investigation aired by the BBC, which sparked renewed outrage over the behavior of police forces in the British capital.

Shocking Scenes

The footage shows an officer dismissing allegations of rape and domestic violence made by a pregnant woman, and another officer bragging about how he dealt with a suspect by pushing him violently.

While at a pub, one officer stated that a person who violated his visa and was in custody "deserved a bullet in the head."

Strict Measures

Nine officers and one staff member were immediately suspended, with two others being reassigned from their field duties pending investigations.
