كتبت أجهزة الأمن المصرية نهاية «أسطورة» شخص شديد الخطورة يدعى «صدام» بعد تورطه في أعمال «بلطجة» وفرض إتاوات على المواطنين.
وقد لقي «صدام» مصرعه (الأحد)، في تبادل كثيف لإطلاق النار مع الشرطة بمحافظة قنا، أثناء مداهمة مكان اختبائه بمركز دشنا بعدما نجحت في تحديد مكانه.
وخلال الفترة الماضية كثفت أجهزة الأمن جهودها لضبط المتهم عقب تورطه في أحداث سوق أبو دياب، التي انتشر فيديو لها بشكل واسع على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.
وفي أغسطس الماضي، تداول مستخدمو مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي في مصر، مقطع فيديو صادماً لاشتباكات عنيفة باستخدام الأسلحة النارية في أحد الأسواق الشعبية بمحافظة قنا وسط البلاد.
ووثقت الواقعة كاميرا مراقبة، يظهر فيها طرفان يتبادلان إطلاق النيران بسوق أبو دياب بمركز دشنا في محافظة قنا، وتطاير الرصاص في كل اتجاه، وهرع المارة إلى الاحتماء، وسط حالة من الرعب.
وأظهر فيديو آخر «صدام» وهو يطالب الباعة والمواطنين بإخلاء المنطقة حاملاً سلاحه، وأطلق الرصاص تهديداً لأحد الأشخاص وقد رفض الانصياع لمطلبه.
وتمكنت قوات الشرطة حينها من ضبط ثلاثة متهمين في الواقعة، بينما لاذ المتهم الرئيسي بالفرار.
ونجحت الشرطة في تحديد موقع اختبائه، ونفّذت حملة أسفرت عن مواجهة مسلحة انتهت بمصرعه.
The Egyptian security forces wrote the end of the "legend" of a highly dangerous individual named "Saddam" after his involvement in acts of "thuggery" and extorting money from citizens.
"Saddam" was killed (on Sunday) in a heavy exchange of gunfire with the police in Qena Governorate, during a raid on his hiding place in the Dishna Center after they successfully located him.
In recent months, security forces intensified their efforts to apprehend the suspect following his involvement in the events at Abu Diab Market, which a video of went viral on social media.
Last August, social media users in Egypt circulated a shocking video of violent clashes using firearms in a popular market in Qena Governorate in the center of the country.
The incident was documented by a surveillance camera, showing two parties exchanging gunfire at Abu Diab Market in the Dishna Center in Qena Governorate, with bullets flying in every direction, and passersby rushing for cover amid a state of terror.
Another video showed "Saddam" demanding that vendors and citizens evacuate the area while brandishing his weapon, and he fired a shot as a threat to someone who refused to comply with his demand.
At that time, police forces managed to apprehend three suspects in the incident, while the main suspect fled.
The police succeeded in locating his hiding place and carried out a raid that resulted in an armed confrontation, ending with his death.
