بدأت شركة «شرق الصين الجوية» بيع تذاكر على رحلتها المرشحة لأن تصبح أطول رحلة طيران مباشرة في العالم، تمتد لمسافة 12,000 ميل تقريباً عبر المحيط الهادئ، وفقاً لـ«العربية».
الرحلة ستطير من شنغهاي في الصين وحتى بوينس آيرس في الأرجنتين في مدة زمنية محددة تبلغ 29 ساعة.
من المقرر أن تبدأ عملياتها في ديسمبر 2025، وستتوقف طائرة بوينغ «777- 300ER» المختارة لهذا المسار لمدة ساعتين للتزود بالوقود في أوكلاند، نيوزيلاندا. ومع ذلك، سيبقى الركاب على متن الطائرة خلال هذا التوقف الفني، مع الحفاظ على تصنيفها «رحلةً مباشرةً» على الرغم من التوقف.
ستشغل الرحلة، المسماة رحلة 746 التابعة للخطوط الجوية الصينية الشرقية، في رحلة العودة من بوينس آيرس إلى شنغهاي، مرتين أسبوعياً يومي الثلاثاء والجمعة.
وأفادت مجلة «بيزنس ترافيلر» أن رحلة المغادرة رقم 745 من شنغهاي إلى بوينس آيرس ستعمل يومي الإثنين والخميس، ابتداءً من 4 ديسمبر، بمدة أقصر قليلاً تبلغ نحو 25.5 ساعة نظراً لرياح سائدة مواتية.
ينبغي على المسافرين الذين يحجزون هذه الرحلة الاستعداد للمدة الطويلة.
China Eastern Airlines has started selling tickets for its flight that is set to become the longest direct flight in the world, covering approximately 12,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean, according to Al Arabiya.
The flight will operate from Shanghai in China to Buenos Aires in Argentina with a scheduled duration of 29 hours.
It is set to begin operations in December 2025, and the selected Boeing 777-300ER for this route will stop for two hours to refuel in Auckland, New Zealand. However, passengers will remain on board during this technical stop, maintaining its classification as a "direct flight" despite the stop.
The flight, named Flight 746 of China Eastern Airlines, will operate the return journey from Buenos Aires to Shanghai twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Business Traveller magazine reported that the departing Flight 745 from Shanghai to Buenos Aires will operate on Mondays and Thursdays, starting from December 4, with a slightly shorter duration of about 25.5 hours due to favorable prevailing winds.
Travelers booking this flight should prepare for the long duration.
