نشرت يوليا نافالنايا زوجة المعارض الروسي أليكسي نافالني صورًا لأول مرة يُزعم أنها تُظهر زنزانته في مستعمرة العقوبات الخاصة «الذئب القطبي» فوق الدائرة القطبية، حيث توفي نافالني عن عمر يناهز 47 عامًا في 16 فبراير 2024. وتظهر الصور بقع قيء على الأرض، بحسب ما نقلت عن شهادات موظفي السجن، الذين وصفوا حالته بأنها كانت «مروعة»، وفقا لصحيفة ديلي ميل.
حياة قاسية في زنزانة صغيرة
كانت الزنزانة الموحشة تحتوي على طاولة صغيرة، وكوب، ودفتر ملاحظات، وإنجيل، وقاموس، وقفازات ووشاح، في مشهد يوحي بالوحدة والمعاناة القصوى. أما ساحة التمارين، فقد كانت غرفة ضيقة من الخرسانة لا يتجاوز طولها عرض الزنزانة نفسها، حيث كان يقضي نصف ساعة يوميًا.
ادعاءات التسميم قبل الوفاة
أعلنت يوليا نافالنايا أن تحاليل مختبرية حديثة على عينات بيولوجية أُخرجت سرا من نافالني كشفت أنه قُتل بواسطة التسمم أثناء احتجازه. ولم تكشف نوع السم، لكنها دعت المختبرات إلى نشر نتائجها بشكل مستقل.
ويذكر أن نافالني سبق أن تعرض للتسمم بمادة نوفيتشوك في 2020 أثناء حملة انتخابية في سيبيريا.
معارض من وراء القضبان
رغم سجنه، واصل نافالني حملته ضد الفساد وانتقاد الكرملين، وكتب مذكراته التي وصف فيها تفاصيل حياته اليومية في السجن، بما في ذلك العمل لساعات طويلة، والانضباط القاسي، والظروف والانتهاكات المروعة للنظام السجني، مؤكدًا أن الإيمان ساعده على الصمود.
اتهامات للرئيس الروسي
جددت زوجته اتهامها للرئيس فلاديمير بوتين بالمسؤولية عن وفاته، قائلة: «فلاديمير بوتين مذنب في قتل زوجي، أليكسي نافالني». وفي المقابل نفى الكرملين هذه الاتهامات، مع إدراج نافالنايا على قائمة «الإرهابيين والمتطرفين».

Harsh life in a small cell
The grim cell contained a small table, a cup, a notebook, a Bible, a dictionary, gloves, and a scarf, in a scene that suggests extreme loneliness and suffering. The exercise yard was a narrow concrete room no longer than the width of the cell itself, where he spent half an hour each day.
Poisoning allegations before death
Yulia Navalnaya announced that recent laboratory analyses on biological samples secretly taken from Navalny revealed that he was killed by poisoning while in custody. She did not disclose the type of poison but called on laboratories to publish their results independently.
It is worth mentioning that Navalny had previously been poisoned with Novichok in 2020 during an election campaign in Siberia.
Opposition from behind bars
Despite his imprisonment, Navalny continued his campaign against corruption and criticized the Kremlin, writing his memoirs in which he described the details of his daily life in prison, including long hours of work, harsh discipline, and the horrific conditions and violations of the prison system, affirming that faith helped him endure.
Accusations against the Russian president
His wife renewed her accusation against President Vladimir Putin for being responsible for his death, stating: "Vladimir Putin is guilty of killing my husband, Alexei Navalny." In response, the Kremlin denied these accusations, while Navalnaya was placed on the list of "terrorists and extremists."
