أُغلقت المدارس الثانوية في بلدتين متجاورتين في هولندا، هما بيفرفايك وهيمسكيرك، أمس (الجمعة)، بعد تصاعد أعمال العنف بين مجموعتين من الشباب.
وقد شمل قرار الإغلاق جميع المدارس الخمس في المنطقتين؛ بهدف استعادة الهدوء، بعد انتشار مقاطع فيديو تُظهر هجمات على المراهقين، إلى جانب مقاطع فيديو مزيفة تم إنشاؤها باستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي تُظهر انفجارات وهمية في مدرستين.
حظر التجمعات لمدة 3 أيام
وأصدر عمدة بيفرفايك، مارتين سميت، أمرًا طارئًا لمدة ثلاثة أيام، يحظر التجمعات التي تضم ثلاثة أشخاص أو أكثر، ويُصنف مناطق معينة على أنها عالية المخاطر لمنع استخدام الأسلحة النارية.
وقال سميت في حديث لإذاعة «NOS»: «كان الآباء قلقين بشأن ذهاب أبنائهم إلى المدارس، لذا كان من الأفضل منح يوم للتهدئة والعودة يوم الإثنين».
سبب العنف في هولندا
وتُعزى أعمال العنف إلى صراع بين مجموعتين متنافستين من الشباب، بدأت الأحداث عندما تسببت إحدى المجموعات في أضرار جسيمة بمدرسة في بيفرفايك الأسبوع الماضي.
وألقت الشرطة القبض على شاب يبلغ من العمر 22 عامًا للاشتباه في تورطه في التخريب. وتصاعدت الأمور لاحقًا إلى مواجهات عنيفة أسفرت عن إصابة فتى بجروح خطيرة، حيث ظهر مقطع فيديو غير مؤكد على «تيك توك» يُظهر تعرض الفتى لركلات على رأسه بينما فمه مغطى بشريط لاصق.
وأشار العمدة إلى أن السكان يشعرون بالخوف بسبب انتشار مقاطع فيديو تُظهر الاعتداء على الشباب، مضيفًا: «يتم تمزيق ملابس الأشخاص، وتصوير أجسادهم، ونشر هذه المقاطع على الإنترنت، وأعتقد أن هذا يكفي».
من جانبه، أعرب وزير العدل الهولندي فوورت فان أوستن عن أسفه لهذا القرار، قائلاً: «من المؤسف للغاية أن تضطر المدارس إلى اتخاذ مثل هذا القرار، فالتعليم حق للأطفال».
وأكدت الشرطة في بيان أنها تعمل على استعادة الهدوء وضمان السلامة في المنطقة، مشيرة إلى أن الأوامر الطارئة تمنحها صلاحية إجراء تفتيشات وقائية وتفريق التجمعات.
إلغاء التدريبات الرياضية المسائية
كما ألغت الأندية الرياضية، بما في ذلك نادي DEM المحلي، جلسات التدريب المسائية بسبب الاضطرابات التي تحدث في هذه الفترة.
وقالت كارولين دي بلاس، زعيمة حركة المزارعين-المواطنين BBB: «من الصعب تخيل استمرار هذا الوضع في الحياة الطبيعية، لقد أصبحنا نفقد السيطرة تمامًا».
The secondary schools in two neighboring towns in the Netherlands, Beverwijk and Heemskerk, were closed yesterday (Friday) after a rise in violence between two groups of youths.
The closure decision affected all five schools in the areas, aiming to restore calm after videos surfaced showing attacks on teenagers, along with fake videos created using artificial intelligence that depicted imaginary explosions at two schools.
Gathering Ban for 3 Days
The mayor of Beverwijk, Martijn Smit, issued an emergency order for three days, banning gatherings of three or more people and designating certain areas as high-risk to prevent the use of firearms.
Smit stated in an interview with NOS radio: "Parents were worried about their children going to school, so it was better to give a day for calming down and return on Monday."
Cause of Violence in the Netherlands
The violence is attributed to a conflict between two rival youth groups, with the events starting when one group caused significant damage to a school in Beverwijk last week.
The police arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of involvement in the vandalism. The situation later escalated into violent confrontations that resulted in a boy suffering serious injuries, with an unverified video on TikTok showing the boy being kicked in the head while his mouth was covered with tape.
The mayor noted that residents feel fearful due to the spread of videos showing assaults on youths, adding: "People's clothes are being torn, their bodies are being filmed, and these clips are being shared online, and I think that's enough."
For his part, Dutch Justice Minister Frits van Oosten expressed regret over the decision, stating: "It is extremely unfortunate that schools have to make such a decision; education is a right for children."
The police confirmed in a statement that they are working to restore calm and ensure safety in the area, noting that the emergency orders grant them the authority to conduct preventive searches and disperse gatherings.
Cancellation of Evening Sports Practices
Sports clubs, including the local DEM club, also canceled evening training sessions due to the disturbances occurring during this period.
Caroline de Plas, leader of the Farmers-Citizens Movement (BBB), stated: "It is hard to imagine this situation continuing in normal life; we have completely lost control."
