تواصل أزمة «يوروفيجن» التصاعد بعد إعلان هيئة البث الهولندية أنها ستقاطع المسابقة الغنائية الأوروبية لعام 2026 في حال السماح لإسرائيل بالمشاركة، معتبرة أن وجودها يتعارض مع قيم المسابقة التي تقوم على السلام والمساواة والاحترام، في ظل ما تشهده غزة من مأساة إنسانية متفاقمة.

وأكدت الهيئة في بيان رسمي أنها «لا تستطيع تبرير مشاركة إسرائيل في الظروف الراهنة، نظراً للمعاناة الإنسانية الشديدة والتدهور الخطير لحرية الصحافة في غزة»، مشيرة إلى أن عشرات الصحفيين قُتلوا منذ اندلاع الحرب، فيما يُمنع الصحفيون الدوليون من دخول القطاع. وأوضحت أنها ستواصل تحضيراتها حتى ديسمبر القادم، موعد اتخاذ القرار النهائي من الاتحاد الأوروبي للبث، لكنها ستنسحب حال إصرار المنظمين على مشاركة إسرائيل.
المسابقة، التي ستقام في مايو 2026 بمدينة فيينا النمساوية، ويتابعها ملايين المشاهدين حول العالم، تحولت من رمز للوحدة الأوروبية منذ تأسيسها عام 1956 إلى ساحة توترات سياسية، خصوصًا بعد حرب غزة التي اندلعت في أكتوبر 2023 وأسفرت عن آلاف الضحايا من المدنيين ودمار واسع للبنية التحتية وفق تقارير الأمم المتحدة.

هولندا ليست وحدها في هذا الموقف، إذ أعلنت أيرلندا أن المشاركة «غير مقبولة أخلاقيًا»، وهددت كل من إسبانيا وآيسلندا وسلوفينيا بالانسحاب، بينما وقع مئات الفنانين والعلماء الهولنديين على عرائض مشابهة في السنوات الماضية، ما يجعل «يوروفيجن 2026» على موعد مع اختبار غير مسبوق بين شعار الفن والسياسة.
