تعرض وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس لموقف محرج بعد تلقيه مكالمة هاتفية من قراصنة إلكترونيين، وجهوا إليه شتائم وإهانات قبل أن يضطر إلى إنهاء المكالمة بشكل مفاجئ.
وتمكن هاكر تركي الجنسية من الاتصال المباشر بوزير الدفاع، والتقاط لقطة شاشة أثناء المحادثة قبل أن يُغلق كاتس الهاتف على الفور. ونُشرت تفاصيل المكالمة عبر الإنترنت، بما في ذلك رقم الهاتف الشخصي للوزير، الذي ما زال يستخدمه منذ سنوات رغم تسريبه في واقعة سابقة.
وأكدت وسائل الإعلام أن الواقعة لم تقتصر على المكالمة فقط، إذ سرعان ما انتشر رقم الهاتف على نطاق واسع، ما أدى إلى تلقي الوزير آلاف الرسائل العدائية والتهديدات، بعضها آلي وبعضها مباشر، تضمنت عبارات مثل: «سنقتلك»، إلى جانب موجة كبيرة من اللعنات والشتائم من مختلف المتصلين.
وليست تلك المرة الأولى التي يتعرض فيها وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي لاختراق مماثل، حيث سبق تسريب رقمه الشخصي في وقت سابق، لكنه لم يغيره وظل متمسكًا باستخدامه حتى الآن، وهو ما اعتبره مراقبون ثغرة أمنية خطيرة قد تُستغل لاحقًا بشكل أكبر.
ولم تصدر وزارة الدفاع الإسرائيلية حتى الآن أي تعليق رسمي حول الحادثة أو بشأن ما إذا كان الوزير يعتزم تغيير رقم هاتفه بعد موجة الهجوم الأخيرة، بينما وصف مراقبون الواقعة بأنها اختراق أمني وإعلامي محرج يضر بصورة المسؤول الأمني الإسرائيلي أمام الرأي العام.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz faced an embarrassing situation after receiving a phone call from hackers, who hurled insults and curses at him before he was forced to abruptly end the call.
A Turkish hacker managed to directly contact the Defense Minister and took a screenshot during the conversation before Katz immediately hung up the phone. Details of the call were published online, including the minister's personal phone number, which he has still been using for years despite it being leaked in a previous incident.
Media outlets confirmed that the incident was not limited to just the phone call, as the phone number quickly spread widely, leading the minister to receive thousands of hostile messages and threats, some automated and some direct, including phrases like: “We will kill you”, along with a large wave of curses and insults from various callers.
This is not the first time the Israeli Defense Minister has faced a similar breach, as his personal number was leaked earlier, yet he did not change it and has continued to use it until now, which observers consider a serious security flaw that could be exploited further in the future.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense has not yet issued any official comment regarding the incident or whether the minister intends to change his phone number after the recent wave of attacks, while observers described the incident as an embarrassing security and media breach that harms the image of the Israeli security official in the eyes of the public.
