أعلنت وزارة الصحة في تشاد وفاة 68 شخصًا جرّاء تفشّي وباء الكوليرا في شرق البلاد، في أحد مخيّمات اللاجئين السودانيين.
وأوضحت الوزارة أنّه منذ تسجيل أول إصابة بالكوليرا في مخيّم دوغي للاجئين، بلغ إجمالي عدد المصابين (1016) حالة، منها (68) حالة وفاة.
وكانت السلطات التشادية قد أعلنت حالة تفشّي وباء الكوليرا في أواخر يوليو الماضي، بعد تسجيل أربع وفيات و(42) حالة يُشتبه في إصابتها داخل المخيّم.
The Ministry of Health in Chad announced the death of 68 people due to the outbreak of cholera in the eastern part of the country, in one of the camps for Sudanese refugees.
The ministry clarified that since the first case of cholera was recorded in the Dogu refugee camp, the total number of infected cases has reached (1016), including (68) deaths.
The Chadian authorities had declared a cholera outbreak in late July, after recording four deaths and (42) suspected cases of infection within the camp.
