أفادت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية، اليوم (الجمعة)، بتسجيل زلزال بقوة 5.7 درجة على مقياس ريختر قبالة سواحل اليابان.
وأضافت الهيئة أن الهزات سُجلت في الساعة 1:34 صباحًا بتوقيت موسكو على بُعد 51 كيلومترًا جنوب شرق مدينة أوفوناتو بمحافظة إيواتي، وكانت بؤرتها على عمق 50 كيلومترًا تحت سطح البحر.
ولم ترد أي تقارير عن وقوع إصابات أو أضرار محتملة جراء الزلزال.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported today (Friday) that an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of Japan.
The agency added that the tremors were recorded at 1:34 AM Moscow time, 51 kilometers southeast of the city of Ofunato in Iwate Prefecture, with its epicenter at a depth of 50 kilometers beneath the sea surface.
No reports of injuries or potential damage from the earthquake have been received.
