رصدت الجمعية الفلكية بجدة اليوم (الخميس) بقعة شمسية بموقع غير معتاد على خط استواء الشمس.
وقالت الجمعية في تغريدة عبر حسابها في «x»: «اللافت أن قطبيتها المغناطيسية انحازت للشمال، ما قد يشير إلى تغير في ديناميكيات الدورة الشمسية الخامسة والعشرين الحالية، فهل تقترب الشمس من ذروتها؟».
من جهة أخرى، أوضحت الجمعية أن القمر سيشرق بعد منتصف الليل اليوم (الخميس) ولبقية الليل في طور التربيع الأخير في مشهد بديع، مشيرة إلى أنه أفضل وقت لرصد الجبال والفوهات القمرية عبر التلسكوب وفرصة مثالية لعشاق التصوير والفضاء.
The Astronomical Society in Jeddah observed today (Thursday) a sunspot in an unusual location on the solar equator.
The society stated in a tweet via its account on "x": "Notably, its magnetic polarity has shifted to the north, which may indicate a change in the dynamics of the current twenty-fifth solar cycle. Is the sun approaching its peak?"
On another note, the society clarified that the moon will rise after midnight today (Thursday) and remain visible throughout the night in the last quarter phase, creating a beautiful scene. It noted that this is the best time to observe lunar mountains and craters through a telescope, providing an ideal opportunity for photography and space enthusiasts.
