هاجم راكب غاضب، حارسَي أمن في محطة قطارات بمدينة إزمير التركية، حاوَلا منعه من التدخين داخل العربات؛ ما تسبب بمقتل أحدهما وإصابة الآخر.
ووقعت الحادثة يوم الاثنين الماضي، قبل أن يفارق أحد الحراس (44 عاماً) الحياة في المستشفى متأثراً بإصابته البالغة.
كما تلقى حارس آخر في المحطة، العلاج في المستشفى، لكن إصابته ليست خطيرة وفق ما نقلت وسائل الإعلام التركية.
ووثق مقطع فيديو جانباً من الشّجار، وبدا فيها أن الراكب (37 عاماً) كان أعزل، لكنه هاجم حراس الأمن في محطة القطار عندما أجبروه على مغادرة العربة لأنه يدخن.
وخلال مضاربة بين الطرفين، أصيب حارسا الأمن، قبل أن تنتهي الحادثة بذلك الشكل الحزين عندما توفي الحارس «سيديهان ألساج»، وهو أب لطفلين.
وقالت شركة الأمن التي يعمل فيها الضحية، إنه سقط على الأرض إثر تلقيه ضربة على رأسه، وسقط الراكب المهاجم فوق صدره؛ ما تسبب له بإصابة بليغة في الأوعية الدموية انتهت بوفاته.
وأوقفت الشرطة التركية التي وصلت للمحطة، الراكب المهاجم، وأخضعته للتحقيق قبل إحالته للمحاكمة.
وأثارت الحادثة ردود فعل غاضبة في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ودعوات لمنح حراس الأمن مزيداً من الصلاحيات لحماية أنفسهم، فيما طالب كثيرون بعقوبة الإعدام للراكب رغم أن القانون التركي يمنع ذلك.
An angry passenger attacked two security guards at a train station in the Turkish city of Izmir, who tried to prevent him from smoking inside the carriages; this resulted in the death of one guard and injury to the other.
The incident occurred last Monday, before one of the guards (44 years old) passed away in the hospital due to his severe injuries.
Another guard at the station received treatment in the hospital, but his injuries are not serious according to Turkish media reports.
A video captured part of the altercation, showing that the passenger (37 years old) was unarmed, but he attacked the security guards at the train station when they forced him to leave the carriage because he was smoking.
During a scuffle between the two parties, the security guards were injured, before the incident ended tragically with the death of guard "Sidihaan Alsaj," who was a father of two.
The security company where the victim worked stated that he fell to the ground after receiving a blow to his head, and the attacking passenger fell on his chest; this caused him severe vascular injuries that led to his death.
The Turkish police, who arrived at the station, arrested the attacking passenger and subjected him to interrogation before referring him to trial.
The incident sparked angry reactions on social media and calls to grant security guards more powers to protect themselves, while many demanded the death penalty for the passenger despite Turkish law prohibiting it.
