فوجئ سكان منطقة «جينسن بيتش» بولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية، نهاية الأسبوع الماضي، بزيارة ضيف غير مرغوب فيه، عندما عثروا على تمساح ضخم بطول مترين يستجم في حمام السباحة الخلفي لأحد المنازل في حي باينكريست ليكس.
واستجابت شرطة مقاطعة مارتن لبلاغ سكان المنزل، ووجدوا التمساح هادئاً تماماً في الماء وكأنه غير متأثر بوجود الجمهور المتفاجئ حوله.
وعلى الرغم من أن حمام السباحة محاط بسياج كامل، يعتقد المسؤولون أن التمساح تسلق فوق السياج أو زحف تحته لدخول المياه.
ولإزالة التمساح بأمان، استعانت الشرطة بخبير محترف، نجح في القبض على التمساح وإبعاده عن المنطقة.
وحذّرت الشرطة الجمهور من محاولة التعامل مع التماسيح أو الاقتراب منها من دون وجود محترفين مدربين، مشددة على المخاطر الكبيرة التي تشكلها هذه الحيوانات بسبب دفاعها القوي والهجومي.
Residents of the "Jensen Beach" area in Florida, USA, were surprised last weekend by an unwelcome guest when they found a massive two-meter-long alligator lounging in the backyard pool of a home in the Pinecrest Lakes neighborhood.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office responded to the homeowners' report and found the alligator completely calm in the water, seemingly unaffected by the surprised onlookers around it.
Although the pool is surrounded by a complete fence, officials believe the alligator either climbed over the fence or crawled underneath it to enter the water.
To safely remove the alligator, the police enlisted the help of a professional expert who successfully captured the alligator and removed it from the area.
The police warned the public against attempting to handle alligators or approach them without trained professionals present, emphasizing the significant dangers these animals pose due to their strong and aggressive defense mechanisms.
