رفض الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم الإعلان الصادر عن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم بشأن المقترح الخاص بإنشاء مؤسسة فيفا فوروارد (FIFA Forward Enterprise - FFE). وأكد الاتحاد الآسيوي عبر بيان رسمي أنه لم تتم استشارته بشأن هذا المقترح، معرباً عن خيبة أمله؛ لأن مسألة بهذه الأهمية طُرحت في المجال العام قبل أن تتاح لأسرة الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم فرصة دراستها ومناقشتها من خلال قنوات الحوكمة المعتمدة والراسخة.
وقال: في الوقت الذي يدرك فيه الاتحاد الآسيوي أهمية استكشاف أساليب مبتكرة يمكن أن تسهم في تعزيز مستقبل كرة القدم العالمية، فإنه يؤكد أن المبادرات بهذا الحجم وبهذه الآثار يجب أن تستند إلى مبادئ الحوكمة الرشيدة، والشفافية، والتشاور الهادف. كما أن القرارات التي قد تعيد تشكيل المستقبل التجاري والمالي للعبة تتطلب مشاركة شاملة ومسبقة مع الاتحادات القارية، والاتحادات الوطنية الأعضاء، وسائر أطراف اللعبة المعنيين، قبل عرض أي مقترح على الجهة أو الجهات المختصة باتخاذ القرار.
وزاد: يؤمن الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم إيماناً راسخاً بضرورة تزويد جميع أطراف اللعبة بالمعلومات الكافية، ومنحهم الوقت المناسب لتقييم المقترح بصورة شاملة، بما في ذلك الجوانب المتعلقة بالحوكمة، والاعتبارات القانونية، والتجارية، والاستراتيجية. ويُعد هذا النهج ضرورياً لضمان أن يعكس أي قرار المصالح الجماعية لمجتمع كرة القدم العالمي، وأن يعزز الثقة في إطار الحوكمة المعتمد لدى الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم.

The Asian Confederation confirmed through an official statement that it was not consulted regarding this proposal, expressing its disappointment; as a matter of such importance was raised in the public domain before the Asian Football Confederation had the opportunity to study and discuss it through established and recognized governance channels.
It stated: While the Asian Football Confederation recognizes the importance of exploring innovative methods that can contribute to enhancing the future of global football, it emphasizes that initiatives of this magnitude and impact must be based on the principles of good governance, transparency, and meaningful consultation. Additionally, decisions that may reshape the commercial and financial future of the game require comprehensive and prior engagement with continental federations, national member associations, and all relevant stakeholders in the game before presenting any proposal to the decision-making body or bodies.
The Asian Football Confederation firmly believes in the necessity of providing all stakeholders in the game with sufficient information and allowing them adequate time to comprehensively evaluate the proposal, including aspects related to governance, legal, commercial, and strategic considerations. This approach is essential to ensure that any decision reflects the collective interests of the global football community and enhances trust in the governance framework established by the International Football Federation.
