قدم ممثل الوطن (الأهلي) مباراة من أجمل مبارياته، وفاز على شباب الأهلي الإماراتي بنتيجة 4/ 3 في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد مدينة الأمير عبدالله الفيصل الرياضية بجدة، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الثامنة من دور المجموعات بدوري أبطال آسيا.
ورغم عدم مشاركة عدد من الأسماء البارزة في فريق الأهلي لإراحتهم وفي مقدمتهم المهاجم إيفان توني ولاعب الوسط فرانك كيسيه والحارس إدوارد ميندي، إلا أن البدلاء كانوا عند الموعد، وتمكن فراس البريكان من هز الشباك مبكراً بعد أن تمكن علي مجرشي من خطف الكرة في منتصف الملعب ليمررها لرياض محرز الذي بدوره لعبها عرضية أرضية حولها البريكان بقدمه نحو الشباك هدفاً أول للأهلي (د:12)، وواصل الأهلي ضغطه ومن غلطة دفاعية أحرز الأهلي الهدف الثاني بعد أن أعاد المدافع بوجدان بلانيتش الكرة للحارس حمد المقبالي الذي لم يسيطر على الكرة لتسكن الشباك هدفاً ثانياً للأهلي (د:35)، وقبل نهاية الشوط الأول مرر زكريا هوساوي كرة أرضية لزميله إنزو ميلو ليسددها مباشرة نحو المرمى هدفاً ثالثاً للأهلي (د:45+3)، وفي الشوط الثاني تحصل الأهلي على ركلة جزاء نفذها بنجاح صالح أبو الشامات هدفاً رابعاً للأهلي (د:52)، وتمكن لاعب شباب الأهلي برينو كاسكاردو من إحراز هدفين (د:66، 78)، وفي الوقت بدل الضائع أضاف زميله محمد جمعة الهدف الثالث (د:90+5)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الأهلي بنتيجة أربعة أهداف مقابل ثلاثة.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق الأهلي فوزه الخامس ويصل للنقطة 17 محتلاً المركز الثاني، فيما تلقى شباب الأهلي الخسارة الثالثة وتجمد رصيده عند 11 نقطة في المركز السادس.
The representative of the nation (Al-Ahli) delivered one of its most beautiful matches, winning against Al-Ahli UAE youth team with a score of 4/3 in the match held at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the eighth round of the group stage in the AFC Champions League.
Despite the absence of several prominent names in the Al-Ahli team for rest, including striker Ivan Toney, midfielder Franck Kessié, and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, the substitutes were up to the task. Firas Al-Breikan managed to score early after Ali Majrashi intercepted the ball in midfield and passed it to Riyad Mahrez, who in turn delivered a low cross that Al-Breikan converted with his foot into the net for the first goal for Al-Ahli (12’). Al-Ahli continued to apply pressure, and from a defensive mistake, they scored the second goal after defender Bojdan Blanich passed the ball back to goalkeeper Hamad Al-Maqbali, who failed to control it, allowing it to find the net for Al-Ahli’s second goal (35’). With this result, Al-Ahli achieves its fifth victory, reaching 17 points and occupying second place, while Al-Ahli youth team suffers its third loss, remaining at 11 points in sixth place.
