انتخبت الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد العربي للصحافة الرياضية، أمس (الأربعاء) الدكتور تركي العواد من المملكة العربية السعودية رئيساً للاتحاد العربي للصحافة الرياضية بالتزكية، وانتخبت الإعلامي القطري علي عيسى نائباً عن قارة آسيا، لأربع سنوات قادمة.
جاء ذلك خلال اجتماع الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد العربي الذي عُقد بالدوحة على هامش منافسات بطولة كأس العرب لكرة القدم FIFA قطر 2025 وسط أجواء اتسمت بالأخوّة والتوافق والتنافس الشريف بين ممثلي الصحافة الرياضية العربية.
وفي سياق متصل، أسفرت نتائج الانتخابات عن اختيار الدكتور هادي عبدالله وبدرالدين الإدريسي نائبين لرئيس الاتحاد العربي للصحافة الرياضية.
كما تم انتخاب علي عيسى (قطر) نائباً للرئيس عن قارة آسيا، وحسن خلف الله (مصر) نائباً للرئيس عن قارة أفريقيا، وباقي أعضاء المكتب التنفيذي وهم محمد ولد الحسن (موريتانيا)، مازن الريس (سورية)، رشيد نصار (لبنان)، عادل البلوشي (سلطنة عُمان)، عيسى شريدة (البحرين)، ياسر عائس (السودان).
The General Assembly of the Arab Union for Sports Journalism elected yesterday (Wednesday) Dr. Turki Al-Awad from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the President of the Arab Union for Sports Journalism by acclamation, and elected Qatari journalist Ali Issa as the representative for Asia for the next four years.
This took place during the meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Union held in Doha on the sidelines of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 football tournament, amidst an atmosphere characterized by brotherhood, consensus, and fair competition among representatives of Arab sports journalism.
In a related context, the election results led to the selection of Dr. Hadi Abdullah and Badr Al-Din Al-Idrisi as Vice Presidents of the Arab Union for Sports Journalism.
Ali Issa (Qatar) was also elected as Vice President for Asia, and Hassan Khalafallah (Egypt) as Vice President for Africa, along with the remaining members of the executive office: Mohamed Ould Al-Hassan (Mauritania), Mazen Al-Rais (Syria), Rashid Nassar (Lebanon), Adel Al-Balushi (Sultanate of Oman), Issa Sharida (Bahrain), and Yasser Ais (Sudan).
