شارك رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل بن عبدالعزيز، في اجتماع المكتب التنفيذي الـ101 للمجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي، الذي عقد اليوم في العاصمة البحرينية المنامة، على هامش دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الثالثة للشباب «البحرين 2025»، وذلك بحضور نائب رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد، والرئيس التنفيذي الأمين العام للجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية عبدالعزيز بن أحمد باعشن.
واستعرض الاجتماع عددا من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، من أبرزها ملف دورة الألعاب الآسيوية السابعة للصالات المغلقة والفنون القتالية التي تستضيفها الرياض العام القادم، وملف استضافة مدينة ناغويا اليابانية دورة الألعاب الآسيوية العشرين عام 2026م، ودورة الألعاب الآسيوية الرابعة للشباب «كمبوديا 2029»، إلى جانب مناقشة التقارير المالية والإدارية؛ تمهيدا لرفعها للجمعية العمومية للمجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي.
وفي سياق متصل، التقى رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل بن عبدالعزيز، رئيسَ اللجنة الأولمبية الكويتية الشيخ فهد بن ناصر بن صباح الأحمد الصباح، وناقشا المشاركة السعودية الكويتية في آسياد المنامة، وتعزيز العلاقة بين الأولمبية السعودية ونظيرتها الكويتية.
كما اجتمع بنائب رئيس المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي عن وسط آسيا أوتابك عمروف، إذ نوقش تطوير العلاقات بين اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية والمجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي؛ بما يعزز تطور الرياضة في القارة الآسيوية.
وعلى هامش أعمال الاجتماع، عقد الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل بن عبدالعزيز، بصفته رئيس الاتحاد الرياضي للتضامن الإسلامي، عددا من اللقاءات الثنائية، شملت رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية الماليزية محمد نورزا، ورئيس اللجنة الأولمبية الإيرانية محمود خسروي وفا، إذ بُحثت خلال اللقاءين مستجدات مشاركة ماليزيا وإيران في دورة الألعاب الرياضية السادسة للتضامن الإسلامي، التي تستضيفها الرياض في نوفمبر القادم.
The President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, participated in the 101st Executive Office meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia, which was held today in the Bahraini capital, Manama, on the sidelines of the third Asian Youth Games "Bahrain 2025." This was attended by the Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, and the CEO and Secretary General of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baashan.
The meeting reviewed several topics on the agenda, most notably the file for the seventh Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be hosted in Riyadh next year, the file for the Japanese city of Nagoya hosting the 20th Asian Games in 2026, and the fourth Asian Youth Games "Cambodia 2029," in addition to discussing financial and administrative reports in preparation for submission to the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia.
In a related context, the President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, met with the President of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahd bin Nasser bin Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, where they discussed Saudi-Kuwaiti participation in the Manama Asian Games and enhancing the relationship between the Saudi and Kuwaiti Olympic committees.
He also met with the Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for Central Asia, Utabek Umarov, where they discussed developing relations between the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia to enhance the development of sports in the Asian continent.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, in his capacity as President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, held several bilateral meetings, including with the President of the Malaysian Olympic Committee, Mohd Norza Zakaria, and the President of the Iranian Olympic Committee, Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa. During these meetings, the latest developments regarding Malaysia and Iran's participation in the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games, which will be hosted in Riyadh next November, were discussed.
