The Argentine club Boca Juniors announced with much sadness and sorrow the passing of its former coach Miguel Ángel Russo, one of the most prominent names in the club's history, who led it to achieve several notable accomplishments during his coaching career.

The club stated in its official statement: "Miguel left an indelible mark on our club, and he will always remain an example of joy, warmth, and hard work. We extend our condolences to his family and loved ones during this painful time. Goodbye, dear Miguel."

Russo (68 years old) is considered one of the most prominent Argentine coaches, having led Boca Juniors during multiple periods and winning the Copa Libertadores in 2007. He also oversaw several clubs in Argentina and South America.

Russo previously had a coaching stint in the Saudi league, when he took charge of Al Nassr during the 2021-2022 season, and he succeeded in improving their results before leaving the club.

Russo left behind a great legacy in the world of football, with a career filled with respect and achievements both inside and outside Argentina.
