يبحث المنتخب السعودي للناشئين تحت 17 عاماً عن التتويج بلقب بطولة كأس الخليج لكرة القدم، عندما يلتقي غداً (الجمعة) نظيره الإماراتي في المباراة النهائية التي ستقام على استاد حمد الكبير في العاصمة القطرية الدوحة.
وتأهل المنتخب السعودي إلى نصف النهائي بعد فوزه على المنتخب البحريني برباعية نظيفة، وعلى المنتخب الكويتي بالنتيجة ذاتها، قبل أن يخسر أمام المنتخب العراقي بهدفين مقابل هدف، ليعود ويضمن بطاقة النهائي عقب تجاوزه المنتخب القطري في نصف النهائي بهدفين مقابل هدف.
ويفتقد الأخضر في المباراة النهائية خدمات حارسه عبدالرحمن العتيبي بداعي الإيقاف بعد البطاقة الحمراء التي تلقاها أمام منتخب قطر، فيما يعول مدرب المنتخب السعودي عبدالوهاب الحربي على مجموعة من الأسماء البارزة يتقدمهم وليد النور، إلى جانب محمد مؤيد، وعبدالرحمن سفياني، وعبدالهادي مطري، وصبري دهل، وسعيد الدوسري.
وأكد الحربي أن المنتخب السعودي عازم على الظهور بأفضل مستوى في النهائي والعودة بالكأس الخليجية، مشيراً إلى أن اللاعبين قدموا مستويات مميزة خلال مشوار البطولة واستفادوا كثيراً من قوة المنافسات.
وكان المنتخب السعودي قد حقق نتائج مميزة في الدور الأول مكنته من المضي قدماً نحو المباراة النهائية، وسط تطلعات جماهيره لتحقيق اللقب الخليجي وإضافته إلى سجله في بطولات الفئات السنية.

The Saudi U-17 national team is seeking to win the Gulf Cup title when it faces its Emirati counterpart tomorrow (Friday) in the final match that will take place at Hamad Al-Kabeer Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The Saudi team qualified for the semifinals after defeating the Bahraini team with a clean four-goal score, and the Kuwaiti team with the same result, before losing to the Iraqi team by two goals to one. They then secured their place in the final after overcoming the Qatari team in the semifinals with a score of two to one.
The Green Falcons will miss the services of their goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi due to suspension after receiving a red card against the Qatari team, while Saudi coach Abdulwahab Al-Harbi is relying on a group of prominent players led by Walid Al-Noor, along with Mohammed Muayad, Abdulrahman Sufyani, Abdulhadi Matar, Sabri Dahl, and Saeed Al-Dosari.
Al-Harbi confirmed that the Saudi team is determined to perform at its best in the final and bring home the Gulf Cup, noting that the players have shown impressive levels throughout the tournament and have greatly benefited from the intensity of the competitions.
