في حادثة منفصلة، عثرت امرأة في منطقة كلافام جنوب لندن على حقيبة تحتوي على بندقية نصف آلية من طراز MP5، مسدس «غلوك 17»، جهاز صعق وذخيرة حية. قام شريكها بإبلاغ الشرطة فوراً، ووصلت دوريات الأمن خلال دقائق للتعامل مع الواقعة.
تحقيق داخلي وإيقاف ضباط
أوضحت المصادر أن الحقيبة تعود لفريق الحماية المكلف بتأمين العمدة، وتم إيقاف خمسة ضباط مؤقتاً لحين انتهاء التحقيقات. وتتولى مديرية المعايير المهنية مراجعة الملابسات، وسط تساؤلات جدية عن إجراءات تأمين الأسلحة داخل القوة، خصوصاً مع تكرار الأخطاء خلال فترة قصيرة.

Bag of Weapons Near the Mayor's Home
In a separate incident, a woman in the Clapham area of South London found a bag containing a semi-automatic MP5 rifle, a Glock 17 pistol, a stun device, and live ammunition. Her partner immediately reported it to the police, and security patrols arrived within minutes to handle the situation.
Internal Investigation and Suspension of Officers
Sources clarified that the bag belonged to the protection team responsible for securing the mayor, and five officers have been temporarily suspended pending the outcome of the investigations.
