ينطلق، غداً (الإثنين)، دوري جوي للنخبة تحت 21 عاماً في نسخته الأولى بمشاركة 24 نادياً من مرحلتين، الأولى هي مرحلة الدوري بنظام الذهاب والإياب، تليها الأدوار النهائية بنظام خروج المغلوب.
وستقام 6 لقاءات في اليوم الأول من انطلاقة البطولة، إذ يلتقي القادسية ضيفه النجمة (6:20م)، ويستضيف الرائد فريق الخلود (6:45م)، ويواجه النصر مضيفه البكيرية (6:50م)، كما يواجه الهلال مضيفه الجبلين (6:55م)، ويلعب العروبة مع ضيفه الشباب (7:05م)، وتختتم اللقاءات بمواجهة الشباب وضيفه الحزم (9:05م).
وكان الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم قد اعتمد في يناير الماضي إطلاق دوري جوي للنخبة تحت 21 عاماً اعتباراً من الموسم الحالي، في خطوة جاءت بعد تقييم شامل لتجربة الدوري الرديف الذي أُقيم على مدى موسمين، وأسهم في زيادة عدد دقائق اللعب للاعبين الشباب، إذ يمثل «دوري جوّي للنخبة تحت 21 عاماً» مرحلة انتقالية تهدف إلى مواصلة تطوير اللاعبين السعوديين إلى مستوى عالٍ، وزيادة فرص اكتشاف المواهب من قبل الأندية المحلية.
وستخوض الأندية 20 جولة في الدوري، إذ يلعب كل نادٍ 20 مباراة موزعة بالتساوي بين 10 مباريات على أرضه و10 مباريات خارج أرضه، بنظام النقاط، وتتأهل الأندية الأربعة المتصدرة مباشرة إلى الدور ربع النهائي، بينما تخوض الأندية التي تحتل المراكز من الخامس حتى الثاني عشر مواجهات الملحق، ويتأهل منها أربعة أندية لاستكمال مقاعد الدور ربع النهائي.
وفي إطار تنظيم مشاركة اللاعبين، حددت إدارة المسابقات بالتعاون مع الإدارة الفنية عدد اللاعبين المشاركين لكل فريق بـ20 لاعباً، إذ سُمح في موسم 2025-2026 بمشاركة 4 لاعبين من مواليد 2004، إلى جانب 8 لاعبين من مواليد 2005 و2006، فيما تسمح اللائحة بمشاركة 3 لاعبين في كل مباراة من قائمة الـ25 لاعباً للفريق الأول سواء كانوا سعوديين أو غير سعوديين.

Tomorrow (Monday), the inaugural Elite Under-21 Air League will kick off with the participation of 24 clubs in two phases: the first phase is the league stage with a home-and-away format, followed by the knockout rounds.
Six matches will take place on the first day of the tournament, where Al-Qadisiyah will host Al-Najma (6:20 PM), Al-Ra'id will welcome Al-Khulood (6:45 PM), Al-Nasr will face Al-Bukayriyah (6:50 PM), Al-Hilal will meet Al-Jabalin (6:55 PM), Al-Orouba will play against Al-Shabab (7:05 PM), and the matches will conclude with Al-Shabab hosting Al-Hazm (9:05 PM).
The Saudi Football Federation approved the launch of the Elite Under-21 Air League last January, starting from the current season, following a comprehensive evaluation of the reserve league experience that took place over two seasons, which contributed to increasing the playing minutes for young players. The "Elite Under-21 Air League" represents a transitional phase aimed at continuing the development of Saudi players to a high level and increasing opportunities for talent discovery by local clubs.
The clubs will compete in 20 rounds in the league, with each club playing 20 matches evenly distributed between 10 home games and 10 away games, based on a points system. The top four clubs will qualify directly for the quarter-finals, while clubs ranked fifth to twelfth will compete in the playoff matches, with four clubs advancing to complete the quarter-final spots.
In organizing player participation, the competitions management, in collaboration with the technical administration, has set the number of participating players for each team at 20 players. In the 2025-2026 season, the participation of 4 players born in 2004 is allowed, along with 8 players born in 2005 and 2006. The regulations permit the participation of 3 players in each match from the list of 25 players for the first team, whether they are Saudi or non-Saudi.
