شهد اللقاء سيطرة مبكرة لفريق الخليج ولم يمر سوى 5 دقائق حتى قص الخليج شريط الأهداف بعد عرضية من بيدرو ريبوتشو ليحولها زميله جوشوا كينج برأسه داخل المرمى كهدف أول للخليج (د: 5)، وضاعف الخليج النتيجة بعد أن لعب كونستانتينوس ركلة زاوية ليحولها زميله ديميتريوس كوربيليس برأسه داخل الشباك كهدف ثانٍ للخليج (د: 64)، وفي الوقت بدل الضائع سدد باولو فيرنانديز لاعب الخليج كرة قوية لتسكن شباك الفيحاء كهدف ثالث (د: 90+1)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الخليج بنتيجة ثلاثة أهداف دون مقابل.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق الخليج انتصاره الثاني ويصل للنقطة السادسة وسيلاقي في الجولة القادمة مضيفه وجاره فريق القادسية، فيما تلقى الفيحاء الخسارة الأولى وتجمد رصيده عند 3 نقاط وسيواجه ضيفه الشباب في الجولة القادمة.
