وقع لاعب النادي الأهلي محمد المجحد رسميًا مع نادي العُلا عقداً يمتد لـ 3 سنوات قادمة، وذلك بعد أن أنهى علاقته التعاقدية مع ناديه السابق عبر مخالصة مالية، حيث يسعى «المجحد» لخوض تجربة جديدة لإعادة تنشيط مسيرته، بينما يسعى العُلا إلى تعزيز صفوفه استعدادًا لدوري الدرجة الأولى في الموسم القادم، إذ تعتبر الصفقة مهمة خصوصًا لأن نادي العُلا يشكّل مشروعًا طموحًا في دوري الدرجة الأولى، ويسعى لبناء فريق مميز قادر على العودة سريعًا إلى دوري المحترفين.
وكان المدرب الألماني «ماتياس يايسله» استبعد «المجحد» من حساباته الفنية بعد إصابته في نهاية الموسم، ومشاركته فقط في 5 مباريات بإجمالي 36 دقيقة طوال الموسم، ما حرم الأهلي من الاستفادة من إمكانياته، رغم أن عقده يمتد حتى عام 2027.
يذكر أن «المجحد» البالغ من العمر 26 عامًا، خاض تجربة امتدت لست سنوات مع الأهلي قادماً من نادي الفتح في أغسطس 2019 بعقد يمتد 5 سنوات بـ 25 مليونا، وجدد الأهلي عقده مع «المجحد» في فبراير 2024 ليمتد حتى عام 2027، تقديراً لمستوياته المميزة، وفي في نهاية موسم 2023–2024، تعرض لإصابة خطيرة في غضروف الركبة أبعدته 8 أشهر عن الملاعب، وتم استبعاده من قائمة الفريق رسمياً في سبتمبر 2024، وعاد تدريجياً للظهور مع الفريق بداية يناير 2025، وتمت إعادة تسجيله، قبل أن يفتح صفحة جديدة في مشواره الرياضي مع نادي العُلا.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Mojhad, who is 26 years old, had a six-year experience with Al-Ahli after moving from Al-Fateh Club in August 2019 on a 5-year contract worth 25 million. Al-Ahli renewed Al-Mojhad's contract in February 2024, extending it until 2027, in appreciation of his outstanding performances. At the end of the 2023–2024 season, he suffered a serious knee cartilage injury that kept him out of the fields for 8 months, and he was officially excluded from the team list in September 2024. He gradually returned to appear with the team at the beginning of January 2025 and was re-registered before opening a new chapter in his sports career with Al-Ula Club.
