The second extraordinary general assembly of the Saudi Taekwondo Federation announced during its meeting the opening of the nomination for the presidency and membership of the federation's board of directors, starting from September 14th.

The assembly approved the timeline for the electoral process, which includes the following stages: Nomination phase: from (September 14 to 20, 2025), while the preliminary lists of candidates and voters will be announced on (September 21) for a duration of (7 days). The phase for objections to the preliminary lists will be from (September 28 to 29), while objections will be reviewed from (September 30) for a duration of (7 days). The final lists will be announced on (October 7, 2025), and it was decided that the electoral general assembly will be held on (October 12, 2025), with the objection phase regarding the assembly procedures and elections on (October 13), while objections submitted will be reviewed on (October 15, 2025).

On another note, the assembly approved the formation of the general election committee chaired by Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Anzi, with the membership of Abdulrahman Al-Barak, Youssef Al-Areeni, and Shahd Al-Rashid. The assembly also approved the objections committee formed under the chairmanship of Salman bin Fahd bin Jaleel, with the membership of Mohammed bin Othaymeen and Noura Al-Dosari. As for the secretariat committee, it is chaired by Areej Al-Qahtani and includes Ibrahim Al-Khuzam and Saud Al-Kulthum as members.

The assembly agreed to form an independent technical committee to evaluate the competence and administrative qualifications of the nominated list's president, consisting of: a member from the general assembly in the capacity of (chair), a representative from the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and a representative from the Saudi Olympic Training Center, with the committee granted the authority to seek assistance from anyone it deems suitable with experience and expertise.

At the end of the meeting, the assembly approved the extension of the assignment of Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sabban as president of the federation for a period of (90 days) to manage the federation's affairs during the upcoming period, in light of the upcoming sports events, most notably the participation of the Saudi national team in the third Asian Games in Manama in October and the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games hosted by the Kingdom in November.
